These pictures make him seem big for some reason.

Also I love the instruction catalog. Reminds me of the old 1984 ones for some reason (probably because it's in color).

For real response is I want to want this but... it just doesn't seem right. The insanely square chest just turns me off. The face doesn't help either.
I'm thinking of cancelling my preorder.

The chest was always my major complaint. It's too big of a brick. With all the panel lines, they could have easily allowed the sides to slide inward over the middle hood section. I think one the movie dlx Bumblebee toys did this, so it's not like a new concept that couldn't have been done on this one.

Regarding the face and eyes, seriously. I have yet to see a good head sculpt come out of Takara on these MP toys. I do like the face on the new seeker mold, but the face is still too small inside a big football helmet. The original Starscream concept art on the toy manual nailed it with the fatter face and smaller helmet. I don't know why they couldn't do that.

For this Sideswipe, I've no idea what they were thinking with this face.

Canceled. It's just not perfect enough for me to consider it a Masterpiece. I wouldn't like it standing next to Optimus and I've broken my GOTTA COLLECT EM ALL mentality so... meh.
I'd rather order a Weapons Specialist.

I though the new MP Starscream looked funny in pictures too, but he wound up better irl, so I'm withholding judgement on robot octo-mom there (ok, a little judgement). That being said, I won't know until Hasbro releases their own version...

Well, if they ever make a G2 version with spiked wheels to go on his shoulders, a bandolier, I'll instantly buy it. A remold of the face to give him a nice Yaniger sneer would be good too.
