He really looks tons better than Kup.

Thank goodness, he doesn't look like he needs those stickers.

That toy desperately needed a hinge to fold the front grill down, didn't it?

Absolutely. That big slab of same-plane plastic kills the robot mode for me. If the grill folded down, this would be a much better toy.

Glad I got a preorder on this guy he looks awesome. BTW He's also slightly mistransformed in these pics; his crotch is on a hinge on it that flips down to make him quite a bit taller. As for the hood flap, you can take it off the hinge and put it on the the other way so it can bend into the backpack. I know that's kind of a cheat but it really does make it look a lot better.

Looks good (far better than Kup) - but at the same time I don't know that I would still want him as a G1 Ironhide stand-in as I once did. (Sold my Universe Ironhide some time ago.) Guess I am not too disappointed if this figure doesn't end up hitting the US.

Can't be any worse than the Universe Ironhide mold was, at least.

Wow. I think this is the first time a gallery will actually make me cancel my preorder. The design looks awful. The front on view looks especially bad. The last couple action shots make him look better, but it's still a bad design. It looks very simple and out of proportion. Hopefully it's mistransformed, but I'm still canceling my preorder now. I don't need to spend $30+ on this one.

Who wants my preorder? Canceling on BBTS in 3...2...1...

Just wondering (not criticizing), did you see the Kup pictures already posted in various places? Since it's the same mold... or possibly you think it just looks worse as Ironhide than Kup?

As Liege also pointed out before me, I think Alfie has Ironhide incompletely transformed at the hips. From what I'm seeing, it seems like he didn't fully rotate down the hip piece, making Ironhide look (rather suitably) squat and... well endowed. I'm thinking that it's another possible way to display option to differentiate Kup and Ironhide, other than the back and shoulder kibble.

Here's some good comparison pics. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers...e-ironhide.html

Not bad. If I didn't have Weapon Specialist, and we got a fully-painted version here, I would have considered replacing my Henkei Ironhide with this one in my Classics collection.

I'd probably rather just have the regular cannons.

This is specifically going in my IDW displays, I think.

I'll be adding a lot of black paint to this toy.

As Liege says, when that part inevitably pops off during transformation, you can just put it back on upside-down.

Thanks for the picture Walky, I was going to take one myself but my camera was being a pain in the ass.
