I'm disappointed that Sonic Bomber and Roadfire don't appear more in fiction. I'm glad Dai Atlas appears in the IDW comic but Sonic Bomber and Roadfire should appear too.

I was wondering if they'd do this, Dai Atlas was the only G1 leader that they hadn't done. (I suppose there's Star Convoy and the Battlestars too, but as far as animation goes, Dai Atlas is it.)
That being said, now I'm curious as to who the NEXT wave is going to feature, now that all the big guns are done with. Ever since I joined the fandom in the 90s my number one dream as a collector has been a line that had all the G1 leaders in a nice scale with each other, plus anyone they combined with. I hoped the scale would be small so including Fortress Maximus wouldn't be an issue. Then when I discovered Brave I dreamed of of a similar line for them.
Kabaya is now making all of my dreams come true. Why is it that surprising? It's three kits per wave anyway, so there's really no reason not to do the entire Big Powered set.

It fits Kabaya's current strategy perfectly. They like to have a gimmick to entice people to buy the whole wave. Hot Rod's wave mates came with pieces of his trailer. Deszaras' wave mates came with his breast animals. Dai Atlas' wave mates combine with him. It's a win-win strategy. We spend more because we want the whole wave, but we also get more bang for our buck.

Battlestars would be great, but there's a few things I'd rather see first:
- Megatron - Soundwave (could do a Deathsaurus here and pack a cassette with each of his wave-mates) - Another gestalt (Computron would be a good candidate. He's an Autobot, since Kabaya seems shy about doing 'Cons. Limbs have distinct alt-modes, so he's got a little more variety than Superion, and they're also very similar colors, which works within the 3 plastic color limit) -------------------- Various Transformers (including Japanese exclusives), plus Green Lantern and Power Rangers on sale HERE! |
