I dunno, I like them having more paint, but I wish Jazz were still blue.
EDIT: Okay, his head is still blue, it's just a very dark blue. WALKY APPROVES. This post has been edited by Walky: Sep 4 2012, 10:51 PM -------------------- |

Better then the US versions but still get a resounding "meh" from me.
The other ones (Soundwave, Combaticons, etc) I'll have to watch out for. -------------------- ![]() |

Definitely look better.
Fingers crossed for a more G1 scheme on the Combaticons. -------------------- |

If prime ia anything to go by, we'll be getting Shimy Metal Combaticons.
However given the Game accurate nature of these two, I wouldn't be surprised to see another Red and Tan Vortex |

I know it's unlikely, but one can hope. If not, I will remain satisfied with the G2 version.

Woah... never noticed the hidden background image on e-Hobby before:
(IMG:http://gigaplus.makeshop.jp/ehobbyshop/common/background01.png) http://gigaplus.makeshop.jp/ehobbyshop/com...ackground01.png I don't see it on the site itself, it only flashed while loading. Is anyone else seeing it without directly accessing the image? Anyway... Jazz is definitely nicer looking and Optimus has some more paint details (NICE), but I'm curious to how the figure will look all blinged out on the final toy. -------------------- ![]() WANTED: TRU MASTERPIECE OPTIMUS PRIME, Henkei Skyfire, and BW Neo Drancron...please PM if you have them for sale! |

I already own the American versions, but those two are beautiful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-silverbolt.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif)
-------------------- "When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"
. "Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." -- C.S. Lewis |

I feel the metallic paint is unnecessary. But the red paint accents are the added touch that was needed on the us releases.

Yup these are a lot better, in my opinion, than the American ones. They have extra details and they go a long way (particularly on Optimus). I may be able to skip the Hasbro versions of Generations if I know there is a TakaraTomy version coming now.

Amazing what a little bit more care and attention to detail can do. Love that Jazz's blue matches the game now, which is also closer to the blue his Action Master was. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-silverbolt.gif)

They look pretty nice.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet), they still don't hold any interest for me. -------------------- |

It's really too bad (as much as I love the Arms Micron) that Shockwave won't be getting a similar release in this line. I would have liked to seen him more game accurate and all blinged out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif)

I'm not completely sold on shiny paint everywhere, but they certainly look a lot better.

No new paint apps, just heavily toned red lines, and Jazz has grey/black instead of blue. And Prime has shiny metallic coating again... Ptah.
Now, if they had actually bothered to paint Prime's gun like in the game... Maybe. -------------------- The de-evolution of Optimus Prime:
