With all that red and gold on the box and that colorful TRU sticker, Optimus looks like something that belongs to the Christmas gift basket. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) It comes with the Hasbro version sword too.
TRU Battle Shield Optimus Prime Terrorcon Bumblebee looks minty fresh. EX Terrorcon Bumblebee |

Why is Bumblebee in Voyager size packaging? He looks awesome though. Would make an excellent leader for my vehicons.

Personally I'm just amazed they didn't take the existing Optimus and Bumblebee packages and release them in a monochromatic color scheme, like red or blue or gray.
I can't even remember the last time a Japanese Transformers store exclusive got packaging this personalized and elaborate. -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

The Bumblebee package is only designed like a Voyager package. It's probably just palm-sized since RID Bee is quite small.

I do really like the packaging. I was just a bit surprised to see them put a deluxe figure in that packaging style. It works well to show him off.

Yeah, sucks that they didn't do the same thing for their version of Terrorcon Cliffjumper.

Yeah, sucks that they didn't do the same thing for their version of Terrorcon Cliffjumper. Well, he was a mainline release, not an exclusive. So he was all about fitting in with the rest of the line of Deluxes. -------------------- |

Er, wow, that's more details from stickers than I care to screw around with on a modern toy. Deal breaker.

You know, reading this thread I became a little nostalgic about the first Japanese TF toy I ever bought. I remember the feelings that went with; treating it like glass because it was so funky and "exotic." It was BWNeo Stampy, I think it was. I WANTED it to be Hardshell (or whotever the Ceolopcamph-or whatever-the-hell-it-was is) or Galvatron, but I settled with this new, exotic crazy bunny Transformer; it was one of the worst TFs I've ever owned.
Now I think back to the last TF from Japan I owned; and I'm holding one right how; Jet Vehicon, and I'm completely desensitized and blase about it. Hmm. I know I contributed nothing to this conversation, but I had a random musing, so deal with it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) -------------------- ![]() Why? Because it's racist. |

Yeah there was something special about Beast Wars Neo. Practically a whole line of new mold Beast Wars guys (with the heroes using red spark crystals instead of green) featuring animals that Hasbro (save for the random dinosaur) would never use. I mean they gave us a ton of new dinosaurs (I was always surprised Hasbro didn't have more in their line up, all the Decepticons were insects/bugs/arachnids) and non-aggressive animals (rabbits, penguins, giraffes).
It was so very exciting to me. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

I could care less about the Prime one (though admittedly the shield thing is nifty), but DO WANT TC Bee. Which is weird because the last thing I need is another ruddy Bee from ~anything~. I guess I'm just a sucker for things that're outfitted in black.

I still like them, shellformers or not. |

"Ion" type Crystal on Terrorzori. Cute.
Can't read what the shield trio have... but it ain't the nominal "Pure" of blue crystals, that's for sure. Then again, these look a bit darker than the blue crystals already in existence... Clearly Siph, we need to think up some unique names for this version of the Cosmotector.

But then I'd be sealing my fate of buying it.
