Not said outright, but it's not a far leap. It could maybe turn up as someone else's exclusive though. But let's be honest here - if one of these figures had to be dropped for any reason, which would you pick first to cut?

How many purple Autobots are there, anyway? RiD skidz and a WARS redeco, Beast Machines Blackarachnia, Universe Silverbolt, Movie elita-1/One/uno? I can't think of more. and all but Elita were a while back.

It's a good thing I'm not collecting Prime, 'cause the news that they're releasing Terrorcon Cliffjumper on top of the SDCC release, and the awkward looking Asian exclusive, but not the original would have me literally seething with rage.
I'm pretty damn baffled, regardless. Something to ask Hasbro about at New York Comic Con, at any rate. -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

I don't understand why'd they would re-release Terrorcon Cliffjumper now. Isn't the Terrorcon Cliffjumper a SDCC exclusive?

I have but once concern on the part of the Wreckers: Can they fit their accessories in vehicle mode?
I mean, I want Twin Twist, but if he can't be a double-drill tank in vehicle mode, then it loses a lot of allure for me. Also, the Rescue Bots are... hmm. Well, I sort of got what I wanted, but with more blue plastic. And I notice no new head sculpts, either. Still, this is probably the Chase I'll get, barring news of some other version. Oh, and I definitely want Blaster... I mean, Soundwave was cool, but this justifies the purchase to me far, far more. More recent thoughts
I'm warming up to China Megatron now that I will be able to get him at domestic prices. Powerdive is bought on sight. Hot Spot is a maybe. I might get Springer and Cliffjumper for customs. Wheelie and Swerve are yes. (I do not read whichever IDW comic has people clamoring for a different Swerve.) I was going to get Generations FoC Ultra Magnus, and I was so pleased that Magnus was finally getting a decent Prime redeco. But then they showed Prime Magnus and boom, that's the one I want. Want Skyquake too. Haven't seen Prime season 2 yet and do not have a particular fondness for Dreadwing over Skyquake, want Skyquake as a G1 updated version. Will probably get Ruination. |

Oh yeah so. Blaster/Soundwave. I had already pretty much decided on the original WfC Soundwave for my "definitive" one. The new one looks keen and the launcher gimmick looks like a great play pattern for kids, but I just don't see myself wanting to upgrade. And then it follows that I do not want the new Blaster with him lots bigger than Soundwave. That may change, I suppose.
