Sometimes I hate being so ambivalent toward Metroplex. I see him rise, hope it's Fort Max and then I'm bored when he declares his name.
Whatever, I just wanna play the game already. -------------------- |

Gorgeous.
-edit- Didn't like Metroplex's Dull Surprise face though. And notice how Jazz and Shockwave had jump out moments - a little bit of TO SELL TOYS going on a bit there, I think. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) But still gorgeous. This post has been edited by Master Fwiffo: Jun 4 2012, 01:37 PM -------------------- |

Great stuff, I enjoy seeing Bee getting the crap beat out of him!
Incidentally did you gys see the walk-thru of the first level TFW2005 had up over the weekend? Supposed first level of the game, really great Ark stuff, and a voiceless Bee. -------------------- "I am stronger than you know."

So as I watched the video again, this thought occured to me as Prime crouched down and the area below him started to glow, only for Metroplex to rise up:

What's with the Siouxsie and the Banshees cover in the background? A song about Pompeii doesn't really seem to fit the game well.

What's with the Siouxsie and the Banshees cover in the background? A song about Pompeii doesn't really seem to fit the game well. Well, you see, the word "city" is in the title. AND METROPLEX IS A CITY! HAHAHAHAHA. APPROPRIATE SONG CHOICE IS APPROPRIATE. Pfeh. -------------------- |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif) Based on the Autobots trying to get away into what looks like a loading bay, I'm guessing this is nearer to the end of the game when the Ark is trying to take off. Also, Metroplex's face looks a bit like Fort Max's, dontcha think? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-depth.gif) -------------------- "When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"
. "Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." -- C.S. Lewis |

Ever since they first said Prime would be commanding Metroplex, I've been waiting for this. I am far from disappointed.
And while watching, a funny thought occurred to me about the character choices made here... ...coincidence? Oh, and hearing the one voiced bit there just made me smile... --LBD "Nytetrayn" This post has been edited by LBD "Nytetrayn": Jun 4 2012, 02:21 PM -------------------- |

Wait, how did Megatron wind up at Metroplex's feet if the ground under him and Optimus split apart, and Optimus wound up in his hand?

The lyrical content is pretty relevant. The destruction of a once great city seems to fit the idea of the game pretty well, doesn't it?
Not that it's a great cover, though. This post has been edited by Spectre: Jun 4 2012, 02:43 PM -------------------- |

I thought the song's lyrics were appropriate... but...
Yeah, they took a Siouxsie and the Banshees song and slowed it down. M "Any More Dirge-Like And The Performers Would Be Comatose" Sipher -------------------- The ISLE OF RANGOON - Advantures in Learning and Sarcasm!
