Spinister will be seen more in the coming years. Just like this year we are seeing many of the 2012 toys in action. This year we're seeing the 2010 toys in action (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) That is kinda like the SG version of the old Marvel Comic. I realize that the club has a limited fiction output and it takes a while to get to some of these guys. Still I miss seeing guys in fiction as or right before they were released, as opposed to 2-3 years later. -ZacWilliam, not really a club complaint, more an I miss that facet of the way the Marvel book functioned. -------------------- Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?

That's just too meta. I would say I want to be a part of the SG Transformers Fandom, where there is no complaining and every announcement is met with uproarious joy, but then I realize the toyline would have lasted only 1 year, and would have been run by Mattel. |

I can't help but wonder how Gundam and Kamen Rider would be like in that universe.

Yeah, it's too bad it only lasted 2 years due to the Movie bombing so Badly. I could have been a generation spanning franchise like Go-Bots, and gotten a Live Action Dramatic Masterpiece directed by Michael Bay, who let's be honest is the Christopher Marlowe of our time. I'm sure Bandai will keep the continuity of the series in one coherent, easily tracable timeline, like they have for the past 30 years. |

While I am happy that we are sticking in the Wings Universe (i.e. new source of classics/generations toys), I am curious how and if the Go-Bots survived and if the destruction of the Classicverse means that the Go-Bot Universe is safe.

Couldn't Fan Publications just put the Classicsverse on hold until after #100?

In two years the Classic Autobots will figure out how to restart their universe.

The SG movie was so wildly successful and highly regarded that nobody was willing to try to create what could only ever be seen as a wholly inadequate followup, and thus it killed Transformers. -------------------- |

Why does everyone keep killing off Nightbeat? It's like some weird morbid running gag at this point.

For all we know Nightbeat's crew were investigating a crime on Transtech Cybertron when the universe was destroyed.

So, is ReGeneration One going to use Classics designs (eventually, since 80.5 doesn't have them)? I mean, I thought that was half the purpose of the Classicsverse-- to give fiction to those toys/characters. So unless RGOne does that, I'm not sure it's necessarily redundant... at least, not entirely, nor necessarily any more than, say, any other multiple versions of G1, or the cartoon and comic versions of Armada/Energon... --LBD "Nytetrayn" The Classicsverse stories are still going to use toy designs. The BotCon comic spent time setting up guys who have Generations/RTS toys getting damaged so they can be rebuilt as them later. Ah, okay, that's a relief. Except for the part where I'm not a member to get those stories, of course. But it's good that they're out there. Magnus didn't actually destroy the Classicverse... WHY the Classicverse was destroyed (when Earth was transported through the event horizon) will be revealed. Your words confuse me; was the Classicverse destroyed, or wasn't it? Or did you mean to say it was not actually Magnus who destroyed the Classicverse? Yeah, it's too bad it only lasted 2 years due to the Movie bombing so Badly. The movie bombing so badly didn't kill Transformers in our universe! Somehow, I could see an SG Mattel having a smash hit movie and making the moves which ensure the line's destruction soon after, anyway. For all we know Nightbeat's crew were investigating a crime on Transtech Cybertron when the universe was destroyed. Out of curiosity, have the Nightbeats from the club all been sold? --LBD "Nytetrayn" -------------------- |

He just meant to steal a chunk of the Earth that had the rarified energon and transporting it to SG Cybertron. He ended up getting the whole Earth and everyone on it instead. I lose all interest in Transformers fiction when it reaches "the whole UNIVERSE will/does get destroyed" levels. *bro fist* I think I may be in the minority, but nearly every single convention comic that gets put out does absolutely nothing to interest me. The one I did like was "Ground Zero" with Packrat and Fractyl. It was a simple story about one guy that wanted to be respected, and another that was trying to fit in with the Preds. And it worked. And I wound up liking both Packrat and Fractyl because of that one little comic. |

He just wanted what he wanted. Any nasty side effects of doing so weren't really part of his plan. -------------------- |

I just couldn't get past the rough dialogue, especially the inconsistent use of contractions.
Normally that doesn't bug me so much.... |

Or is it the order of magnitude of destruction? -------------------- |

Sadly that seems to be something that has to happen to be "dramatic" with a once-a-year title. There have to be "high stakes". Luckily there are text stories set between the Botcon comics for other stories.
