I've managed not to buy any, but a part of me wonders how these miniatures would look on a shelf of Gashapon figures and Smallest transformers.

I haven't got any, either. I enjoy the show and the fanart, but the toys never appealed to me. If Hasbro produced some higher-quality figures, I might go for it; but I'm pretty sure that won't happen.

I have a couple blind bag toys. I had to get Minty. I'll probably get the sets with Gilda and Granny Smith, too.
Overall, though, I've been avoiding G4 toys. IMO, they do not make great toys. The models look great in the cartoon, "in motion", but frankly sort of strange as toys. The blind bags at least look sort of lively; Hasbro picked the most boring pose in existence for the brushable ponies. Plus the unicorns have weirdly small horns. |
