I've got a few TF items that I want to get autographed by the guests. Is there a strict limit on how many items each person in line can get signed?

Also, I heard that the Peter Cullen line is always intense, and that people who get there too late may not be able to get an autograph. Do people start waiting in line somewhere before the autograph sessions actually start? If so, how early should I plan on getting in line to guarantee a Cullen autograph? I have friends counting on me.

Aren't Peter Cullen's autographs done by raffle this year?

You guys hadn't heard?

Cullen's Autograph line is a lottery.

He's doing 125 and it's entirely random chance.

Good luck....

Oh holy crap!

Oh well, at least as a Primus Package holder I'm automatically entered.

I didn't notice that before - unfortunate, but necessary. I've been in the loooong lines, and turned away from a closed autograph session. Cullen's autograph is much sought after, and valuable. I hope the need for this doesn't bleed over to the other guests anytime soon.

Yeah if Peter's line wasn't random you'd have to get in line hours before as ever since the first film was released (so after his BotCon 2007 autograph, which even that wasn't easy) he's become very hard to get his autograph due to how popular a draw he is.

I should've gotten his back in '97.

I vividly remember him sitting by himself outside and NOT BEING SWARMED (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

WTCHOP?! When the heck was this announced? That stinks.

P.S. I wish they had the lottery system for the Customizing Class. Those things sell out so fast, only the super-hardcore constantly monitoring for the convention announcement have a chance.

Well, what about the other autograph lines? How much in advance should I plan to line up?

It depends on the guest. If it's a popular guest you may want to get to the line an hour before. Either way, you want to make sure you're in line at least when it starts.

Two or so years ago an hour... a half hour was fine. You could get as many Autographs as you wanted as a Primus holder, provided you waited in line a lot. However they DID cut lines off last year. Scott McNeil's was cut off an hour- hour and a half before the signing even started. So if you REALLY want a specific autograph. Plan well in advance.

Most people should be available for Autographs on both days too so that should hopefully cut down on some of the lines.

Frankly, it increases your chance of getting an autograph from Cullen, unless you plan to start lining up for him the day before.

That only increases odds for people who aren't hardcore about getting in line early.

I would totally do that for a Cullen autograph. I've waited in some pretty horrendous lines, and at least this one would be indoor.

But it totally understand that it would suck for people choosing between waiting in line and everything else at Botcon.

But it that's how it is, I really hope they have a lottery for the customizing class next year.

Yeah, I'm trying to be positive about it. I want his autograph but there's a heck of a lot more I wanna do at botcon, including stealing Walky's lunch-money.

Conventions Centers are never that big. Walk by the autograph area 2hrs, 1 1/2 and 1 hr before the autograph session starts. If there's a a line of more then 8-10 already queuing, get into it.

Wow, I didn't know Cullen's lines had gotten so busy. I remember having to wait an hour, but my wife and I each got two items autographed that year.

I think I have a Robovision Prime, a TRU reissue G1 Prime, an Eeyore book for my wife, and my 25th Anniversary TFTM signed by Cullen.

Wait, I also have a poster and a print out of some comic panel where Prime rips off his head and throws it into the mud. I must have seen him two different years. Was he there in '08 as well? Or '06?
