I had had my Firecons down of the shelves just now and they got me to wondering. What G1 updates do you want to see... but not as Classics/Universe/Generations figures?

For the Firecons, I would love to see them as part of the Rescue Bots toy line more so than I would want them as Classics toys. Mostly because Classics toys would probably try to make them "Serious Business", whereas Robot Heroes would be free to keep most of their adorable ridiculousness intact. Squat robots with simple transformations, simple sculpts, and - for the most part - bright colors; they just seem perfect for Rescue Bots.

Do you have any G1 characters you like see get an update in a style other than Classics?

I'd rather buy an Animated Omega Supreme than a Classics-and-suchlike one, since I don't really like the whole "the rocket leaves behind all this other stuff, which mysteriously reappear at the rocket's destination, wherever that may be" deal. Unless Hasbro makes a CHUG one that integrates the entire body into the vehicle mode (or multiple vehicles).

There's no need for a Prime Omega Supreme to be so restricted. Hell, there's no real reason for a Classics one to be so designed either.

Firecons would be good in Rescue Bots, yes.

I think they'd also be PERFECT as Bot Shots. In fact I think I'd be willing to treat Bot Shots Firecons and Bot Shots Throttlebots as Classics versions of the characters.

-ZacWilliam, if ever there were a toyline PERFECT for reviving the Throttlebots Bot Shots is it!

Does Beast Wars count as G1? I'd like some Cyberverse BW figures, myself.

I'd still like to see plenty more characters in Animated style (prefereably as toys of course). But some specifics:

Prime Springer
Prime/WFC Technobots
Prime/WFC Head/Target/Power Masters (All with partners made not to ruin the toy if you lose the tiny)

G1 (80s) Strika and Obsidian
G1 Bulkhead and Knockout

G2 Technobots (Just Because)

I guess you're right, considering that RTS/United Perceptor wasn't a microscope. And if Omega Supreme shows up in TFP, he'd probably be a single spaceship, considering his WfC appearance. It looked like I was replying to your post, huh? Sorry 'bout that.

Beast Era is generally considered part of the G1 Continuity Family (seeing as how there was the Ark and Nemesis and all), so why not?

In today's market, leader-class size is about the most you can expect.

Personally, I'd be happy with an OptiMax-sized Omega Supreme for Cyberverse, just so long as they could figure out a transformation for him that was more impressive than "sit down and tilt your head back."

How about making Bumblebee in movie style, actually based on the G1 character? A compact car espionage specialist, who can talk.

Shhhh Be Quiet, If Hasbro hears you they will burn you alive for heresy! The Golden Silent Camero Bee is glory!

I think Beast Era (and proper G2) should count separately from G1 in terms of toylines as they were more distinctive and had their own unique quirks to them.

G1 Bumblebee as, well, a BEAST WARS Bumblebee seems like a "Duh!"

Classics and things compatible with it (like some Prime figures) are all I want/collect. Obviously the call of whether something is compatible with Classics is going to be subjective.

I find that my definition of Classics has changed over time, since I like things such as RotF Bludgeon just fine, but they're not really in line with the first Classics.

I actually prefer the movie-toy look(*) to Classics, so I'd ask for all of 'em in movie style.

(* as distinct from the actual CGI movie models; I like that the toys strike the balance between intricate detailing and still looking like mecha.)

Not really, but I don't mind anything that shows up in Prime.

While I would get behind either, what I really want is a Classics/Universe/Generations Omega Supreme based on the TFA design.

Oh, that would be ADORABLE. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-silverbolt.gif) I can see them now with the parking feature replaced with little "flame" tongues that flick in and out of their mouths as you roll them around.
