Now, I realize how Hasbro intends for TFP to be a long-term show and, as such, I fully expect someone as high-profile as Shockwave to eventually make his ppearance on the show with his own character design that will be largely recognizable (one eye, antennae, gun that can replace hand, etc).
However, going over the images of the PRiD Eradicon deluxe, I couldn't help but notice how much it reminded me of Shockwave in different ways. Firstly, the alt mode is much like an Earth version of Transtech Shockwave's car mode. Secondly, the bot mode's chest, unlike many car-formers is not made from any part of the car and has an angular, clear panel, much like most versions of Shockwave. Of course, there's the gun that can replace the hand, and the overall build is much like Animated Shockwave, very lithe with tall shoulder kibble. Anyhow, while the mold is pretty much already in Shockwave's colors, those could be tweaked and, with a new head, I think that the toy would make a pretty good Shockwave. -------------------- |

While you raise some good points, I suspect that any eventual TFP Shockwave we receive will most likely be either a WfC-style jet or a DotM-style tank, rather than a car.
I do think the reasons you mention mean the Vehicon mold has serious potential for a ShockBLAST custom, though. -------------------- I exist to serve.

I don't demand that Shockwave be a space gun, but I am not really crazy about him as the Vehicon car. Overall the robot mode would be not bad.
Maybe the Vehicon jet though. But there's no toy of that yet right? |

No, but I hope they eventually make a Jet Vehicon.
And if we weren't getting FoC Shockwave I'd be all over this, but it does make me think of what TFP Shockwave might look like. This post has been edited by Fenix Twilight: Apr 12 2012, 06:50 PM -------------------- |

I do think the reasons you mention mean the Vehicon mold has serious potential for a ShockBLAST custom, though. Taking that idea a step further: how about Shockblast Drones, Vehicon bodies retrofitted with portions of Shockwave's likeness and some of his combat style? They could be TFPrime's equivalent of Doombots, in a way - used either to confuse opponents or as a disposable army. -------------------- |

I don't think I would ~want~ them to make Shockie out of that mold, but looking at it I do see where you're coming from, I think. I can only hope that along with my G1, Animated, [Energon Shockblast], and movie Shockwaves I'll eventually have a PRiD/FoC/WfC version to complete the perfect trans-continuity sentai.
...since I'll never, ever have another Omega Supreme. ;________________; I do think the reasons you mention mean the Vehicon mold has serious potential for a ShockBLAST custom, though.
