Two things: Wheeljack's swords will fit into the gaps in his fold-chest-down hinge. His arms can almost reach to do an over-the-shoulder draw, too.
Soundwave's EPIC HEAD REVEAL mechanism is linked to opening his backpack up. There's a linkage in there; Open it up all the way, and the head should spring out all on its own. And the transformation hinges in his arm are a great freaky-arm extra joint.
