I mailed my personal check on 2/28. No confirmation by Fun Pub. yet, and no sign of the check having been cashed on my account yet. What are the chances that I won't be locked in for the 2012 exclusive Runamuck? Has anyone gotten any type of confirmation yet?

QUOTE If you wanted a very specific toy, waiting until the last possible week was your mistake. If you wanted a very specific toy, waiting until the last possible week was your mistake. Given the justified fears of not wanting to deal with credit card fraud or account password breaches, I don't think that's wholly justified. This has been an issue for months, not 'the last possible week' and it still isn't 'fixed' and it will be a long time before many people trust in this company again (for whatever reason, that's just how customers are). Point is, you can't just lay the blame at the feet of the consumers on this. |

(Most notably, whoever actually stole the data is personally responsible for both fan skittishness and the store being inaccessible! Don't forget the actual bad guy, folks!) But it's the same situation as not waiting until the last minute to do a homework assignment. There was always a chance that something was going to go wrong, and the responsible thing to do would have been to get it done early. It's hard to say how long we've had (technically renewing in late March last year would have done the trick, but obviously that isn't reasonable), but TFWiki has had pictures (Photoshops, but that's all we have to go on with most preorders for Club exclusives, so it's a reasonable "orders open" date) since September. (Do not mistake this for a claim that I was any more responsible. I had to mail in a paper form about a week ago.) -------------------- |
