Yeah, Scooby is all I really know him from.
Still, he was only just recently in an episode of Spongebob (in a live action role) and he looked just fine, so this certainly is unexpected. "The Monkees weren't about music, Marge. I'm glad he died after Whitney Houston instead of immediately before, or we'd have never heard about this. It's a bummer and I'm sad to see him go.

MSN is reporting that the most likely cause of death was hardened arteries.
