Whatever the weapon upgrades are, they most likely will not be worth losing a fully upgraded level 20 character.

VERY nice Shepard/Wrex there. I've just been looking at those decals again.. need to order those... and the necessary parts.
As far as the challenge goes... yeah, losing a level 20 is hard to bear. I wish I hadn't promoted my engineer after the Brute challenge, he could be going now. I've got a level 19 vanguard I can let go, though fully upgraded charge/nova is fun (was sitting at 50 kills on wave 4 last night). Don't really want to lose my asari adept, so I may have to work on leveling up somebody else to sacrifice in her place. -------------------- |

Sadly, I won't be around to do this challenge this weekend. : ( I would imagine they'd dip into the collectors N7 weapons again. maybe I'll get the valiant or eagle this time? lets not kid myself it'll be the hurricane or crusader II. as for resetting characters at this point I have 5 level 20s and a level 19 vanguard, I think I can spare two of em. hell I might actually reset everything but the infiltrator. I'm having a pretty fun time stomping all over everything while leveling up the vanguard, double nova seems to make all the difference in the world.( on bronze anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) ) -------------------- |

Sadly, I'm not any kind of competent programmer, but maybe somebody here is/knows somebody... what are the chances we could get something like THIS but for the Mass Effect multiplayer? It'd be nice to get a good look at planning out points all on one page.

QUOTE And the more I chew on the Indoctrination Theory, the more sense it makes. As a friend of mine said: "It all hangs together too well." It reminds me of those Matrix fan theories where they showed how everything was still in the Matrix and it all fit together perfectly...only for the official ending to be that whole DBZ-fight garbage we ended up with. It DOES fit together too well...that's the surest sign it isn't true. The Shepard decals are a mix. - Helmet: part of Saber's set - Armor: slightly modified from a torso decal I found on Flickr (the N7 logo is from a wallpaper image) - Arm: done by me QUOTE And the more I chew on the Indoctrination Theory, the more sense it makes. I thought that looked like paintwork on his arm.. very clean and straight! Wish I had the steady hand for that kind of thing. What piece is he wearing on his chest? Same question for Wrex and his big shoulderpads.
As far as indoctrination goes... I agree with pretty much all that's been said. It fits together nicely, but I doubt it's what Bioware had planned. That being said, I would still expect them to pick it up and run with it. -------------------- |

It DOES fit together too well...that's the surest sign it isn't true. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) I don't buy that, actually. At least not in this case. You've got a trilogy of games that builds its narrative on the back of the player's choice, and Mass Effect 3 doesn't disappoint in that regard - nor does it take advantage of the complex emotional relationships you've crafted over the course of the games, or the myriad of ways those relationships can evolve. After all that time and energy put into make a coherent choice based narrative, I don't see them just "phoning in" the ending like they did. Especially when you look at tweets coming out of the developers, even before the "apology", there's more to the end then what we've been given. But really, I think the clincher for me is the fact the dream trees are present after Shepard wakes up from getting blasted. That's not just a random doodad reuse - not when the field was shown to be barren and even then, they would have been wiped out by the beam. -------------------- Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded

Sure, they might try it after, but I have very good reason (including the final hours ap, every interview, and the way they refuted the whole obvious-fake-penny-arcade-post thing) to assume the ending that shipped was the ending the two guys who did it on their own wanted. Also, not including the actual ending is a really dumb move. -------------------- |

Also, not including the actual ending is a really dumb move. But it does reek of EA's business strategy. Remember, this is the same game that had Day One DLC that features a character heavily integrated into the plot of the game (Seriously, take Javik with you on Thessia and watch him proceed to destroy the Asari Religion to the point afterward, Liara goes to his room on the Normandy basically to kill him). -------------------- Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded

Indeed. It's hard to see ME3 as not "phoning it in" given all the evidence. Don't get me wrong, most of its still fantastic, but it shows a certain lack of time spent- the Javik situation, the broken journal (both terrible updating and the way it sticks on the "Improved Power Grid" update no matter how far in the past it is. Scrolling up every. single. time. after that mission is inexcusable), the whole Rachni deal, and some of the oddest bugs (for example, apparently some of the Kenneth/Gabby dialogue is tied to talking to Ashley and taking her on missions? How did that even happen?). I definitely believe the ending as shipped is as intended. Especially since the "two guys who did it on their own" have, at pretty much every turn, made incredibly bad choices. Don't forget, too, that the last Mass Effect book was stunningly riddled with errors. Sometime between 2 and 3, something terrible happened at Bioware. They just don't care anymore.

I'd really like to play Geth in multiplayer, I'm already itching for some DLC. I soloed final two minutes of a wave 6 upload on Silver, because I was pinned and my teammates either didn't have medi-gel, or wanted to conserve it. It was in a terrible spot, I doubt I'd have been able to pull it off without my Black Widow. It was pure hell, I wish that I had a capture card.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) --SoS That's amazing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-bee.gif) I like the shoulder guards. Are those custom forearms, or are there Lego figures with arms like that? Either way, that's very nicely done. |

Multiplayer Geth would be nice. But the question comes at how to make sure people can tell player geth from enemy geth.
Still. just put in all the races damnit. Gimme Batarian and Volus. Elcor.. would be hard but why the hell not. Hanar? Its Blasto time baby. Also put in alternate genders of things too. I wanna see some Female Drell and Turians, Male Quarians. |

I doubt they'd do multiplayer geth.. but they let you paint your soldiers up in Cerberus colors, so I guess confusion isn't a high priority. They could always take away the customization options and make player geth be Alliance-blue. Wouldn't be the worst compromise. I am surprised they don't have male quarians, since the model is already there. Obviously playing as elcor/hanar/volus would be a blast, but I don't know how they'd do it. Maybe make a separate section, with each species being a new class? Elcor would be heavy weapons, but.. hanar and volus don't do a whole lot of fighting. Don't know what they'd be.
And batarians can go straight to hell. REMEMBER MINDOIR -------------------- |

MP Elcor would be awesome...until the Banshees showed up.

Nah, Mass Effect 2 showed the elcor can move at a decent clip when they walk with purpose. Besides, surely a spindly banshee couldn't lift an elcor.
Back on the subject of vanguards and their awesomeness, scored 82000 points in a game last night. Phantoms, Atlases, Engineers.. bring 'em on. Shame I'm going to have to promote him. -------------------- |

Man, as much fun as multiplayer is, these random unlocks are pissing me off. I've gotten stuff for every single class except the one I'm playing.
I promoted my Sentinel tonight anyway. Maybe I'll try out Infiltrator, since I have a frakton of stuff for that. -------------------- |
