I always thought TM2 Megatron was a disappointing follow-up to TM Megatron. I realize that may make me sound insane in some circles. In general or the toy? Well, both. I kind of thought the show model looked like Big Bird, and the toy was a giant field of homogeneous red. Plus, well, TM Megatron is clearly the best BW Megs toy ever. He did all his best stuff in it. And he was a dinosaur, which is way cooler than a dragon. And, frankly, TM2 Megs looks like BW Megs is wearing a huge red furry costume. -------------------- |

I agree, the TM show model and toy (baring GPS) versions of BW Megatron are lot better than his TM2 form.
Heck I also like Cryotek waaaaaay more than TM2 Megatron. |

Oh I wish I wish I never passed on Cryotek the one and only time I saw him in store.

Yeah, I much prefer the Cryotek version of the toy. This is a personal hangup, I admit, but I am much more forgiving with an all-blue toy than with an all-red toy. -------------------- |

I always thought TM2 Megatron was a disappointing follow-up to TM Megatron. I realize that may make me sound insane in some circles. I'm not alone anymore! (To add, I've always found the toy kind of a mess to deal with, every part of him just flops about everywhere, especially those damned wings: a solid toy he ain't.) -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

I think the coolest BW Megs toy is the BotCon one, and he never did anything even a little cool in that one.
I guess he was barely in Theft of the Golden Disc. |

The am exhausts are just not very prominent details anymore. What disturbs me was that one concept art that was circulating prior to his release that had even LESS prominent exhausts. Yeahhh... Don Figueroa's concept of Classics Hot Rod downplays a lot of things I'd rather not see downplayed, so I'm glad we got what we got instead. Plus it isn't be saddled with big horizontal shoulder plates and a circa-06 Don face. Which on that note, makes me REALLY glad we never got the "Sure I GUESS that's Soundwave" car Soundwave design he made. -------------------- |

TM2 Megatron does make me wish BotCon-- or anyone, Hasbro, even-- had gotten to make that version which was a repaint/remold of RiD Megatron in TM2 Megatron colors...

Which on that note, makes me REALLY glad we never got the "Sure I GUESS that's Soundwave" car Soundwave design he made. I'm not quite sure why, but I used to rather like that Classics Soundwave design. But yeah, it really doesn't look all that like Soundwave. Still, that design would probably have made a better Ironhide or Ratchet than the one they actually made. |

Agreed. I would LOVE to have a new Universe Ironhide and Ratchet, and I think that design there would be absolutely fine.

It basically looks like a Classics version of Movie Stockade.

This one wouldn't suck either as Ratchet/Ironhide.

Sounds totally reasonable to me. Flappy wings don't excuse floppy neck. Yeah, the floppy neck really ruins TM2 Megatron for me. It would have been better if they had gone with the same kind of neck BW2 Galvatron has. Then you might actually be able to pose it, and have it be a useful part of the toy. Not just hang there like a limp phallis. -------------------- |

That toy still has the whole "not existing" thing working against it.

I meen honestly what would you have Soundwave turn into? Because a tape deck is out
And It could be repained and retooled into Blaster and fit well with Preseptor -------------------- Currently out of touch with reality watching tons of anime
