Found my first Botshots today, and I'm enamored. The thought that there are at least 44 of these little buggers planned makes me happy.

I doubt I'll go completest, but I would at least like to try and get all the clear versions, since clear chase figures are like catnip for me.

Of course, that means sentinel was only one I haven't found yet.

What say you all?

Dammit people share my enthusiasm! SHARE IT!

I figured out the trick to getting optimus back in vehicle mode: His head is slightly articulated, and needs to be pushed back to catch the clasp on the hood.

These are also some of the few transformers I can transform with one hand.

They're pretty cool. I bought Cyberverse Ratchet today (to turn into a CHUGUR Fixit) but it was really a struggle not to buy some Bot Shots.

The two I bought for my nephew for his birthday looked like a lot of little fun. If I had unlimited TF funds I would buy them all. As is they're probably gonna be something I just get a few of. A three pack to play with with my son might be cool

I LOVE the breadth of characters we're getting. Doing things like Jetfire/Skyfire and Acidstorm, THAT'S the sort of vision what will win me over to buying me some.

-ZacWilliam, give me a wheel that pops open into Scrounge and we are sold. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif)

$5 seems like too much for them, but I might get some if I can use the current $3 coupon (which some have reported works).

$3.99 at Target and Walmart. That's not too bad.

-ZacWilliam, though $2.99 would be even better. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

Yeah I bought the first wave at $5 each which is too expensive. I like them a lot but I picture them taking up a lot of room. I don't know if I'll buy them all but I will definitely be getting Jetfire, Thundercracker, and the Acid Storm 3 pack. Having them at $4 makes it a little easier to swallow.

Hmm, they don't seem to be in my DPCI list... anyone know the Target DPCI for them? If I could get them for 3.99 minus $3 coupon, I am there!

The price does feel high, but they're more complicated then a legends toy, I think.

The three packs should be under $10 at retail, so that's a better price ratio:

Hasbro seems serious about shortpacking the clear variants!

Anyone seen the pre-production blue starburst show up in person?

I have to admit I have a concern that I will start collecting them and then the line will be cancelled, leaving me disappointed - like with Robot Heroes. I should get around to selling those, but I think there's little market for them.

I think this is the weekend Target will do it;s TF reset, hopefully. Bot shot Extra Value! 3-packs appeared at Toys R Us today, for $15 each... I passed.

3-pack Bumblebee is a different shade of yellow from the single-carded version, I don't know if his or Sentinel's stats are different.

I think Botshot chases are the shortest-packed figures I've seen since classic: one per case of twelve. Usually shortpacks are one-per case of eight.

I just wish they would start turning up at Target and Walmart!

I'm kinda just surprised how cheap the 3-packs are. Considering the freight/packaging savings, I kinda wish they'd just dump the singles and do 3-packs.

I compared single vs. set Bee and Sentinel, and the numbers are indeed different. (3-pack Bumblebee has a fisting of 765 while single has 110, for example.) Optimus Prime's launcher number is different from single. I haven't checked Megatrons yet.

I'd also like to note Bumblebee has different wheels (grey), different windows (black), and a surprise bonus paint application-- 3-pack Bee has some silver on his grill.

Painted Sentinel Prime looks GREAT. He'll make an awesome Ultra Magnus if the time ever comes, and I'm not burned out on the same molds being repainted by then.

I bought one of these things today.

I don't like them.

Perhaps a few days of playing with it on my desk will change my mind, but I will probably be more enamored with the feeling I have of not needing to buy any more.

I've seen these at a couple stores, picked em up, looked em over and asked, "Are three of these actually worth the same to me as a deluxe? Even a crappy PRID one?"

THe answer was no.

This is the same problem I had with the Robot Heroes. I thought they were cute as heck and I can't tell you how many times I picked them up and considered buying a set. But it always came down to "I could get these, or, for the same price I could get an actual main-line Transformer toy that actually transforms." The Robot Heroes pretty much always went back.

-ZacWilliam, though I like the gimick and they do tf, these will probably be the same for me. Only a beloved character would likely break through that barrier. I'm seriously considering the Jet/Skyfire. We'll see when he actually shows up...

The game is Online at last. Interesting. Cybertropolis is the once capital of Bot Shot Cybertron and gang leader Acid Storm is the first boss.

-ZacWilliam, going to play now. commentary later.

i'll probably end up nabbing just a couple of these

i like the auto-transform and the cuteness and collectibility of them but at 3.99 a pop [for such tiny toys] im gonna be pretty selective

Optimus and Lockdown are for sure buys for me. beyond them, i havent really made up my mind yet

but they do look awesome!

Theres a very cool Image of Cybertron to choose your arena.
Locations you will be able to play at when the game launches in full in MAY:

Six Lasers Over Cybertron (SERIOUSLY! huge smile here!)
Crystal City (A floating City here)
Sonic Canyons
Space Bridge
Sea of Rust
Hydrax Plateu
Kaon
Chamber of Battle

-ZacWilliam, two arenas for each alt-mode type.
