These are the stock photos shown at the Toy Fair presentation for the Combaticons. So these show the alternate color schemes for the Combaticons.

I assume what will happen is that the so called "G1" color scheme will come out as individual bots, and the so called "G2" or "Energon" scheme will come out as a store exclusive boxed set.
I like the more muted "G1" Brawl, Swindle, and Blast Off, and the brighter "G2" or "Energon" Onslaught. I hate both Vortex color schemes. What will probably happen is that the "G1" scheme will come out as a wave of figures with no news of repaints, so I will pick them all up. Then 6 months later, the assumed store exclusive boxed set of the more garish colors will come out, and I'll have to buy that for my preferred Onslaught color scheme. I will then proceed to try to paint one of the Vortex figures into a more "G1" color scheme, and fail miserably. I will attempt this again with my second Vortex and ruin that figure well. I will then pay $60 for a new Vortex on Ebay...And immediately after clicking "Pay Now" on paypal, Takara will announce an all G1 color scheme Bruticus for $150 and I'll buy that as well. Sigh... -------------------- ![]() |
