Ah well. I'm not a fan of shoddy console ports (which I'm sure it would be), but I also absolutely despise having to play shooters on console gamepads.

Eh, I don't buy all this "lack of technical expertise" stuff. If there was good money to be made with a port, it would be coming out on the PC. Apparently, they don't think it is worth their time. I pretty much only play games on my 360 these days so it doesn't affect me, but it sucks for all the fans out there who only own a PC. Who knows, maybe they'll still release it a on PC a couple months after the console versions.

General emulator rule of thumb is that a PC needs to have about 10 times the power of the original console before development would feasible. You have to have the power to emulate the console first in a PC environment before dealing with the game. And the current generation of consoles is going to be an extremely tough nut to crack because of all the internet and social network aspect interwoven into the systems and games themselves now. Not to mention system architecture problems. It's been over 15 years and a reliable and consistent Sega Saturn emulator hasn't happened yet because of the Saturn's bizarre internal architecture and graphics processing. It's easier for developers now to rebuild a Saturn game from the ground up a la Guardian Heroes (rebuilt around Xbox architecture), Radiant Silvergun (rebuilt + arcade board emulation), and Sonic R (rewritten for PC, subsequently PC version emulated on consoles later) than it would be to emulate an actual Saturn. -------------------- Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind.
