Great, yet another Transformers movie that won't be about Transformers.

The idea of someone else jumping on the franchise was a pretty refreshing feeling while it lasted.

Oh well. I look forward to enjoying the ride for what it is.

That's really as optimistic as I can get about it. Hopefully they give us something new or...anything to make it seem fresh.

I can't promise I won't go see this in the theater. But darnit, I'm gonna try hard not to. My $8 witholding might be insignificant and purely symbolic, but it's all I've got!

Why will we solve after Robert grasps the abysmal winter's ulcer? He may change rural tailors, do you join them? The films, tapes, and spoons are all good and fresh.

They'll be REAL F-35 Lightning II's and not CGI, which makes it incredibly better because something something.

Hey, did you know? That military garble you couldn't understand? That was based on REAL military chatter, and the way you didn't understand it is exactly the same way you wouldn't understand actual real-life military chatter! Amazing, huh?

Man, just take a gander at the butthurt on TFW. I know it's not nice, but just take a look for yourself.

I'm glad TF4 is coming, it'll give us another chance at getting more of the movie characters in the toyline.
I'm sure Prime and the 40 Generations figures will have their time when the TF4 toyline comes, so there is no worrying
to be had.

What, about this, or about every other piece of Transformers-related news?

I don't get the whole reboot thing, myself. Seems to me the benefit of having the same director and putting out a new installment so soon would be retaining the universe audiences are familiar with.

If it's not a reboot, then I wonder how they'll bring Megatron back this time around.

Yeah, what an ass, doing something that matches up with reality. That tool. He should just make up stuff so we can bitch about THAT the same way as if he didn't.

I'm assuming "reboot" means no Sam and quite probably different alt-modes for the Transformers.

I'd hope for a Bumblebee who can actually hugging speak but that's probably a pipe dream with Prime taking the stupid idea and running with it.

The former is likely, the latter is doubtful.

Is that in any way a reboot, though?

Maybe I've just been misusing the term from years of comic book fandom, but in those circles, "reboot" (soft or otherwise) suggests at least a partial ditching or re-jiggering of continuity.

Well, the guy in the video says himself that "reboot" is the wrong word, after getting pressed about it.

The prospect of the movie interests me, but if the design aesthetic stays the same as the last three, I'm going to be saving a lot of money for a few months.

This is really very disappointing news.

I wanted Brad Bird. Or at least pretty much anyone else.

Oh, that's cool. I haven't watched the video.

I'm down with new humans, new threats, new direction. I just think it'd be silly to start completely from square one.
