Maybe it's just the coloring, but it feels like Milne did a pretty good job of fitting the Roche designs from the first issue (especially Chromedome and Cyclonus on page 4). Only the mouths/teeth really scream Milne to me.

Yep. A cool scene, reference or joke in almost every panel plus great artwork throughout.
So we have Duobots now. SIROIB! Would have preferred 'Hell' to have been replaced by 'Slag' though. This post has been edited by Bass X0: Feb 10 2012, 02:40 PM |

Gosh I love Brainstorm. So self-impresed and impatient and outclassed intelect wise by several other bots on board. He may be this issues Swerve for brief but endearing characterization. And it's spot on to his classic character. So. "Duobots" I'm gonna assume they're the Autobot equivalents of Duocons. If so, I'm a little bummed their names aren't more in the Duocon style to give us a hint at their alt modes. Skids as a bad@$$ is really kinda a wierd fit for me. Classic characterization, what very little he had of it, was a rather soft spoken spacey academic anthropologist. Wonder if this will at all play on the Japanese set that makes him and Skreetch interdimensional warriors? -ZacWilliam, even with a slight disconnect on super-action-hero-Dr.-Whoish Skids this is great stuff. 1984! 1984! CAN NOT WAIT for the full issue. I miss Roche.
But I love this. Skids got more personality in 3 pages than he's had in his entire existence thusfar. -------------------- |

Part of me is glad for this as it shows me a few more members of Team Rodimus, for my shelf rearranging.
Though I do love Brainstorm little bit with Rodimus, and Rung's Praise then fear of Ratchet. -------------------- ***Signature removed by Staff due to size restrictions. Please keep to 500X200 images and text included.***

I miss Roche. I don't think I could disagree with that without lying to myself, but Milne's really bringing his A-game this time around. He could stand to ease up on the detail though: makes the eye wander. -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

But I adore Roche's style, and wish he could be the primary artist for, well, everything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) -------------------- |

I miss Roche. But I love this. Skids got more personality in 3 pages than he's had in his entire existence thusfar. Too bad its not Skids' established personality. This new personality could have been attributed to anyone who hasn't been given a personality in fiction or tech specs without any problems from what we've seen so far. By colors I'm assuming that's Hoist doing the... hoisting? -ZacWilliam, have we seen him in IDW before? In ongoing he left autobase to join Hot Rod... and got captured by Skywatch moments later. Can't remember if he showed up after that. This post has been edited by Gridlock: Feb 10 2012, 03:23 PM |

I love Skids. Well, I already loved Skids, but I love this Skids. He feels like a cross between Memento and The Doctor after a Regeneration.
By colors I'm assuming that's Hoist doing the... hoisting? -ZacWilliam, have we seen him in IDW before? Yes. He, Beachcomber, and Tracks were captured by Skywatch in ongoing #3. He later made some appearances in Revenge of the Decepticons. -------------------- |

This new personality could have been attributed to anyone who hasn't been given a personality in fiction or tech specs without any problems from what we've seen so far. Except we can't say if this is his usual personality in this universe. We see him startled, confused, and trying to sort things out, for reasons we don't yet know. So he's not likely in his proper state of mind, considering he can't even recall his name at the moment. -------------------- ***Signature removed by Staff due to size restrictions. I love Skids. Well, I already loved Skids, but I love this Skids. He feels like a cross between Memento and The Doctor after a Regeneration. Yes. I had the same vibe. Specifically he reminds me of the regeneration into David Tennant, where he's fairly manic and questioning "what kind of man he is" the whole ep. -ZacWilliam, half expected a "no second chances" moment. Still if ya gonna capture a vibe, the Tennant Doctor is a great one.
