Wait, does this mean Big Mac will get more speaking line now? Also, this does seem a bit of an odd pair up if you ask me. If any thing, I would hope he would try to hook up with one of the mane six. Seems like a bad fanfic got made into a episode.

I can't imagine Hasbro/The Hub being at all happy with the fact that the episode they have been promoting for the last week or so has been leaked 2 days early. iTunes have got some explaining to do.

With that aside, this was an awesome episode! There were some very funny moments in it.

Haven't watched the episode yet, but I am downloading now. I'll probably watch it when I get home this evening.

But i do see two Bonbons, but only one Lyra.
Also two Carrot Top's, Berry Punch's and a red pony with yellow many/tail i do not know the name of.

Not funny as such, but considering the theme of the episode (Hearts and Hooves day) and the fact that they've paired up Lyra and Bon-Bon, along with Doctor Whooves and Derpy, could be a little nod to the fact that those are common pairings in the fandom.

It could also just be purely coincidental of course.

Dunno how much you know about Doctor Who, but he's always had a companion or two throughout his journeys through time and space, so it makes sense for him to have a pony companion.

Derpy was often designated as the Doctor's companion for the pony universe, about as much as Twilight was, really, but it kind of grew out of that.

It's not a ship I like, myself, but I generally don't have Doctor Whooves in my fanon.

Also, I will reiterate, this episode was awesome. One of my favourite yet.

Huh. That was a nice surprise.

Kind of an annoying episode, but I concede that was the point with all the sappy baby talk.

Lots of new angles on Big Mac's face and new expressions. And it was good to see Cheerilee get a spotlight even if she spent the episode brainwashed.

Still, plenty of funny bits. Jelly-fetish pony was a real wtf. The CMC hiding in the bush and Sweetiebelle popping out at intervals. The various gagging animations. And of course the ending; "Why do I look like I'm getting married in a pit?"

And Big Mac finally got some more lines, even if it was mostly sappy stuff.

Some of the ponies seen during the song were pretty weird, but this guy takes the prize:

I think the Derpy/Doctor shipping was based purely on their fan names both ending in Hooves. Someone decided that it meant they were married, and it was off to the races.

ETA: Although adult-Derpy background ponies in flashback sequences tended to cement the fanon that she was at least a Companion.
