For now, this is announced as a Universal Studios Singapore exclusive. He'll probably be available at Universal Studios Hollywood later though. -------------------- |

I like the packaging. Obviously it will be different in the US with the whole TakaraTomy thing and all.

I don't NEED this per se, but I had planned to get it, not realizing it was an exclusive. Looks nice but oh well.

At NYCC Hasbro said there was going to be a mass release version too with different packaging and (likely) colors from the Universal Studios version.

He looks like a decent design, if not just a little generic. I'd like to see some kind of neat homage done with him. Sorry to the homage haters, but you've already got your new character version coming out right here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

So is this what the ride vehicle will look like? The four seats and open top make think so.
Cool design, looking forward to seeing a finished copy. -------------------- |

Can't say I'm impressed by it but then again I'm not a big fan of the movie look.

Can I get one unpainted? I totally get a Nolan-Batmobile vibe from that prototype.

I'd hope the US version will just be Evac instead of Autobot Evac.

I'm still curious why Singapore gets the ride first. I've no doubt the toy will be available in all Universal parks when we get the ride here. Hasbro said there would be a wide release of this? That surprises too given that it's a theme park ride exclusive.

I'm still curious why Singapore gets the ride first. Perhaps they were able to make room for it first. Or perhaps Universal Studios Singapore needed a boost. -------------------- |

I'm still getting a Cybertronian/pre-war-wound Armada Red Alert vibe from him.
I'm so very tempted to buy one just to put some white on the vehicle mode. -------------------- |

He's just gonna be my fourth wrecker. Those are totally Roadbuster's legs. It looks like he cribs a lot of robot design from Roadbuster. The split hood-pecs, the shoulder and hip wheels, the girder-legs... even has the kneepads and "wings" on the inside of the ankle. I'd wager he even transforms much the same way as the Roadbuster deluxe figure. Not much originality there, IMO. It's not a terrible thing, as I really liked Roadbuster's design. Could have stood for it being less obvious though... nix the girders in the shins or something. |

I've always wanted a toy that transformers into a Universal Studio's seating arrangement.

I've always wanted a toy that transformers into a Universal Studio's seating arrangement. That's what is selling him to me. I have a general dislike for the Movie robot aesthetic, but his being basically a transforming Universal Studios Themepark ride sells me the toy just for the uniqueness. -ZacWilliam, same factor that sold me the little Transforming toaster guy. Well that's certainly a Transformer in the movie style. An actual paint job will probably make him look a little better. And clearer pictures.
If they do a mass release, I'll probably get him. He looks neat enough to be background filler. -------------------- |

The only thing I don't like about this guy is his name. Yeah, it makes sense regarding his role in the ride, but Evac already exists as a movieverse character and looks nothing like this. And yes, I'm aware that a 2-time repaint character that didn't appear in the films themselves is of secondary concern to coming up with a character that's the audience's link to the interactive movie ride, but still, some continuity would be appreciated. Like, he could have been "Getaway"/Breakaway.
Anyway, he's still looking pretty cool, and I totally agree with the Wreckers comparison; it's like he's the fourth one (Twin Twist?). Also, I think I've decided his alt mode is cybertronian. I could buy into it being a stealth mode of an Earth car, but the overall look is futuristic enough to be cybertronian.
