I'd be tempted to put Shockwave with my Classics...but he's Prime Shockwave, not G1 Shockwave.

If these come out from TakaraTomy they're likely to be the G1 characters again.

IDW is having the G1 guys (Bumblebee, Skywarp, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave, Jazz, Sideswipe, Prowl, Bluestreak) use their WFC/FOC bodies too. So yeah there is fiction on both ends that say these guys are G1 guys as well as fiction that says they're Prime guys. WFC still fits better with G1 in my book.

Randy

If IDW or Takara says he's G1, that's enough canon to make me put him with Classics.

I wish there were some canon to make Bludgeon work.

IDW is currently drawing their Shockwave as the WFC design, as the link on the previous page hints at, but is more apparent in some other panels that aren't online.

It is only logical to buy that Shockwave.

The other listings are cool too. Makes mew wonder if Dreadwing uses the Skyquake voyager tooling?

Also New Cyberverse listings! that were removed according to TFW2005.

Cyberverse Commander -

Ultra Magnus, Dreadwing (we already know about the Japanese one coming), Skyquake

Cyberverse Legion -

Tailgate (natural Prime Cliffjumper repaint), Fallback, Flamewar (arcee repaint?)

In (I think) the Diamond version of the BotCon Animated comic, Kaye hinted that he might reprise his role as Dead End in Prime. I guess that's happening.

Oh? That's interesting. Would be nice to see Kaye as Dead End on the show. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

If Shockwave is a "large Deluxe" by the standards of our current Deluxes, he's still going to be a short Deluxe compared to most of the Classics toys people want to display him with.

I know it's not listed on here, but...a remold of FE deluxe Cliffjumper, with a new head, in G1 Tailgate colors?

Yum.

Here's hoping that Magnus is not a Prime repaint.
I'm in the minority in that I normally like those, but if this guy is a repaint that might mean they don't plan on using him in the show anytime soon.

Also, glad they're doing the two WFC designs I wanted most.

I hope there is a Starscream, and the line lasts long enough to get a Skywarp and Thundercracker in there.

If he were FE Starscream's height, that'd be fine. But I really doubt it. The largest of the RID deluxes (minus Bumblebee who I don't have) is Wheeljack, and he's no taller than Classics Starscream, who's not a terribly large Classics deluxe to begin with.

I suspect the size of the RID deluxes has to do with the size of their weapons. Cliffjumper's the shortest and he's got a big-ass axe. Wheeljack's the tallest and he's only got a pair of swords. Soundwave's in the middle and he's got Laserbeak, who's smaller than the axe and more massive than the swords.

Thing is, WFC Shockwave has that massive cannon arm. I bet a lot of mass is going there.

So.

So with all the size classes shrinking a bit, maybe "Deluxe" Rumble really is scout RTS Rumble... a boy can dream right (still cheaper than Takara's)?

I'm just going to cross my fingers that FOC Shockwave is at least around WFC Megatron's size, who feels like a pretty big deluxe but has a large, gimmicky arm cannon as well.

What was standard in 2010 might not be standard today. Hell, what was standard six months ago might not be standard today.

I'm aware. Hopefully we're not in a trend of deluxes all continuing to get smaller, I'd rather pay a couple bucks more MSRP than start sacrificing size as well as detail.

FoCwave! Scratch one off the top of my wish list.

The imminent Ratchet release for Prime may not bode well for receiving a FoC Ratchet. And the absence of co-op doesn't bode well for him being truly needed in the game, either. Blurg.

People, wouldn't it stand to reason if they were releasing RtS Rumble that he'd be in the Generations assortment and not the Prime assortment. Sheesh! This wishful thinking is beyond absurd! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Continuity families, schmontinuity...uh, families.

Shockwave will fit in perfectly with WFC Megatron + Soundwave and the Titanium Seekers as the pre-Earth versions of my personal "partially G1-inspired but mostly made up" canon.

And if we get an FOC Seeker mold so I can ditch the Titaniums, so much the better.
