Ooh, Skywarp pic!
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/new...-skywarp/23867/ Looking...exactly like what you imagine Skywarp would look like. I don't care, I still want him. And his silhouetted friend, whose identity I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark at. Nice. I gotta say, though...TFP Starscream feels pretty unique to me right now. I'm having a hard time accepting a pallette swap as a new character.

So, all of the Takara mainline guys are getting minicons that transform into weapons instead of mech-tech weapons? God damn I'm. going to import this entire line, for that reason alone. Those guys look awesome.

Prime Starscream is too singular a character to me. Though I admit it'd be an interesting test in animation to bring in another Seeker with the exact same body who is say bold and belligerent. It's Starscream's body language that makes the character and I'd be curious to see them do something different. -------------------- ![]() Eventually, I think. - Temp |

Oof. I can't justify spending these prices on all these guys for the Mini-Cons. I'm gonna have to hope that, like all other Mini-Cons, these get redecoed to hell and back.

Yup Hug Hasbro's Prime line. I'm skipping it entirely for the TakaraTomy versions. The extra minicons are well worth the $10 more I'll pay for them.

Skywarp is very pretty. Right now HLJ has the Deluxes on preorder for roughly $21 and the Voyagers for twice that. Preordered them all. I was considering passing on any repeat characters but the Microns sold me.

Those are all really cool, but I just don't know about the extra trouble of collecting the Japanese Prime line just to get them. Depends on if the figures of the show characters themselves are better looking to make it more worth it. This random, but fairly extensive Mini-Con thing is one of the most noteworthy reappearances in awhile of both beasts and Targetmasters at the same time, but Hasbro possibly isn't participating at all? That's very weird.

Although we don't know for sure that Hasbro will do Skywarp....yet. And the deluxe Starscream is worth owning either way. |

I wonder who that is? Also voyager Breakdown(Blakedown, heh) and Deluxe Knock-Out are listed, along with Legion Commander Dread Wing(800yen, I assume that's the commander price point) and 400 yen Legion Evac(eBack). No Wheeljack listed though, except for the legion version with the spaceship. |

Anyone else notice most of them turn into what are essentially each character's weapon from the show? Bulkhead's blaster, Cliffjumper's 'horns', Ratchet's sword, Arcee's tonfa blade, Bumblebee's pulse-gun, and Megatron's cannon?
Let's just hope that doesn't mean the ones with humanoid robot modes don't turn into smaller versions of themselves like the Gashapon Microns do. This post has been edited by Sprocket: Feb 1 2012, 10:22 AM -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

Although we don't know for sure that Hasbro will do Skywarp....yet. And the deluxe Starscream is worth owning either way. I think this will be like DotM and they won't release him. AM-14 Decepticon Beacon(Also has a 400yen Legion version). It's the Vehicon. I gotta say between Hasbro's Prime RID line and Takara's Prime RID line it's definitely a case of "HasbRow suxxors Takara roxxors" or what have you. I understand Minicons would have likely been too expensive at the price point for Hasbro, but Takara's Prime RID Deluxes are only 2,000 Yen, which is 940 Yen cheaper than the United figures that TT just came out with. It shows that Takara is really trying to push this line to be a success with cheaper price and really cool Minicons - meanwhile Hasbro is offering arguably inferior versions due to inferior weapons (in comparison). I'm almost wondering if the Takara figures will have the lightup features or not, if they're removed it will probably make them better as they wouldn't have random clear bits like on Optimus and Starscream. I think that's one of the best aspects of them, that they're mimicking weapons on the show that likely the figures do not include. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

After consideration...had I know that there would definitely be a deluxe Starscream redeco as Skywarp I might have consented to buy that instead of Screamer and then hold out for the Voyager Starscream mold. That's what I'd planned on doing. I liked the idea of Starscream and Skywarp looking at least a little different this time around. But then I started to fear that the Voyager version would be even taller than Megatron, which doesn't work for me. -------------------- This week at Comic Critics!: Whatever happened to the critic of tomorrow?
