Oh man, not Cthulhu! That guy gets everywhere. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) Love me some Lovecraft though. The real authentic stuff. The Pretender Monsters might have been the obvious choice to use here what with the existent Lovecraft link in Monstructor, but I'm kinda glad to see the Seacons get some airtime instead. Underused and all that. Anyone else have the fish-men remind them of that fish Battle Beast with the purple armor? -ZacWilliam, would be interrested to read this but with RiD and MtMtE firing on all burners it's less of a priority for me. I'll see how the reviews go... Love Guido's art at least. I've already decided to grab this title (as well as the 2 Infestation 2 issues, naturally) but I'll wait to see if I'll like it before grabbing the other titles, like GI Joe or TMNT. I'll probably get the trade if I decide to.
Interesting to see they changed the 'Bee design, didn't mind his original HoS look. Or maybe that was just for the cover and he'll be a locomotive again in the series. Oh man, not Cthulhu! It's not like we didn't already knew that I2 would be about Lovecraft. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-primal.gif) -------------------- |

Anyone else have the fish-men remind them of that fish Battle Beast with the purple armor? I dunno, to me they look quite a bit like Submarauder. They are the Submarauderiest. -------------------- |

Huh, didn't expect to see HoS again. Cool that they're not just visiting the main IDW universe again, since TF is very multiversal.
Looks pretty cool, even for someone who doesn't care about Lovecraft. As a side note, I hope eventually Kup resurfaces somewhere. -------------------- Signature? I don't need no stinking signature.

In the main IDW-verse we knew going in there was going to be nothing of lasting consequence to the core cast or universe. -------------------- ![]() |

I figured they just didn't want to drag the main continuity into a crossover a month after the relaunch. Besides, steampunk and Lovecraft work well together.

I didn't care one bit for Infestation 1.
But Cthulhu and Steampunk TFs? I'm ALL over that. -------------------- |

This works so, so much better than the first Infestation on a concept level.

So what will infestation 3 be about?
So this time around are the comics actually going to cross over at all? Also, should I ever bother with any of the IDW comics relating to Infestation, like wherever these CVO guys are from? -------------------- |

You know, my initial reaction to this was "great, this one isn't a part of the man IDW continuity, so I don't have to read it." Mainly due to the first Infestation being so weak, except for the Star Trek issues, which didn't even need to be linked to Infestation to work.
But this....actually looks like it may be decent. Like someone above said, this time I'm waiting for reviews, and if I read it it'll likely end up being the eventual Trade Paperback. Edit: @ Zodberg: I wouldn't bother with any of the others unless you were already reading them. From what I saw of CVO (admittedly, just what was in the crossover) it read like a lame ripoff of Hellboy and Torchwood. And no, not in an awesome way, despite how that description sounds. Seacons? SEACONS?!
Dammit, I was hoping this would hold no interest to me and I could skip it without a second thought, even with the HoS designs. Although I am hoping it'll have Kup in some way. Interestingly, Snap Trap seems to have a mini Piranacon head instead of his normal head. -Edit- Oh and I love that they're using Submarauder's pretender shell design (who I just realized both robot and shell share the same colors as the Seacons). A shame it's only going to be 2 issues though (right?)
Good to see the Italian Stallion back on Art duties, especially the Hearts of Steel kind. Since he came up with most of those delicious designs. -------------------- ![]() |

So, that's solved, Submarauder works for Dagon... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)
I am looking forward to this, a cover piece also suggests Shockwave will be returning. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) The Seacons shown are Snaptrap, Tentakil, Nautilator and...
