Guys.

Be men.

Don't fabricate stories or excuses about why you're buying ponies.

Just buy the damn ponies.

Be men.

WORD! So you guys can walk up to a store counter with a arm full of Transformers but can't order a Happy Meal? I even asked which ones they had. Had to buy another Rarity and Cheerilee after I got the full set.

I really liked the big BK heads from DOTM. Very nicely detailed, plus the two characters I wanted were also the two who glowed in the dark. Synergy.

I really liked how the Armada ones had minicon hardpoints and ports.

Seriously. When frickin' Walky is telling you how to man up, you know you're a sad case. What are you guys, thirteen?

You're seriously embarassed by what some idiot at McDonalds will think of you if you buy MLP toys?

--Andrew S.
(I thoroughly approve of Walky's earlier anecdote about overriding his wife and exclaiming that the toys are for him.)

Nope. But taking my niece meant I could buy 2 apply meals without having to eat that much McDonald's food. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Shoot, the Armada happy meal toys should have been minicons. That was a missed opportunity if ever there was one.

we haven't had awesome fast food TFs since Beast Wars/Machines.

None of the Happy Meal/Fast Food promos have been nearly as good as the very first McDonalds Beast Wars set that gave us actual New Original Characters with actually pretty neat minibot-type tfing toys. Loved those SO much that every promo since has been a let down.

The only runner up in coolness was Beast Machines which at least provided a resonably in scale Nightscream (how sad is it that he easily trumps the giant ultra one in my collection) and lots of inexpensive (though tiny) on model Vehicon drones.

I'm not sure what these could do that would be equally cool but I doubt they'll do it. ...I'm so bitter and dissolusioned about fast food freebies now...

Personally, I just want them (that is, whoever's doing a TF kids meal promotion) to do actual TFs that transform again. However simplistic. The last few promotions (were they all movie-related? I think they were. Another reason for me to hate the movies) utterly failed in even attempting actual transformations, focusing instead on stupid "action" features.

I guess things are different here than they are over there. Here in Australia I just walk in, ask what happy meal toys they have and buy the toys seperately.

It varies vastly from location to location.

Some require you purchase a Happy Meal for each toy. Some require the purchase of one Happy Meal with the opportunity to buy additional toys. Some let you buy just the toys by themselves for a slight discount. Some let you buy just the toys, but charge you the full price of the Happy Meal anyway.

So it really depends on the manager more than anything.

Or there's San Francisco, where McDonald's is having to circumvent the local laws by saying that you can buy a Happy Meal for regular price, but if you want one of the toys it's an additional $0.10 donation to the Ronald McDonald House.

Yes, I did a paper on the whole "Ronald McDonald is making my kid fat!" hysteria for class last semester. It actually gave me an excuse to quote Denis Leary in an academic environment.

McPony toys are actually out in Hungary already. They only have Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie so far, though, and it seems Celestia and Cheerilee are not part of the line at all.

If they're going to do a red car in this, it better be Knock Out.

Puh-lease. Knock Out wouldn't be caught dead at a grease trap like McDonald's. Do you know what cooking grease does to one's paint job?

Yeah, the one where I was living at the time would not sell toys without the meal.
