I could see sneaking a win in Visual Effects. I thought DOTM was better in that regard than both Harry Potter and Real Steel. Haven't seen the other two though.

The first one was way better at them than the movie than won.

DOTM actually netting VFX would be REALLY cutting it close, short of the bad "Hollywood awards hates Bay" jokes (or something along those lines). My sister, who isn't a TF fan, even admitted that AWE winning the 2008 Oscars would've been a bit better.

I see Hugo going against Apes, with HP7.2 coming close.

I don't think they'll win for Visual Effects.

They did NOT fool me with that poor imitation of a real actress they had as Sam's girlfriend.

Monkey versus robot, eh?

...I really want the robot to win. I know it's dang unlikely, but come on! They can't snub us forever!

Harry Potter because it's the last one and needs to sweep some awards.

Girl with the Dragon Tatoo...it also is most likely going to get some sweeping awards.

Maybe a possible curveball in there, but yeah...
