Today the Academy Award nominations were announced in Beverly Hills. Dark of the Moon received 3 nominations.
Sound Editing Ethan Van der Ryn and Erik Aadahl Sound Mixing Greg P. Russell, Gary Summers, Jeffrey J. Haboush and Peter J. DOTM actually netting VFX would be REALLY cutting it close, short of the bad "Hollywood awards hates Bay" jokes (or something along those lines). My sister, who isn't a TF fan, even admitted that AWE winning the 2008 Oscars would've been a bit better.

Harry Potter because it's the last one and needs to sweep some awards.
Girl with the Dragon Tatoo...it also is most likely going to get some sweeping awards. Maybe a possible curveball in there, but yeah...
