The reason folks are guessing Ironhide is because we know he's getting Prime toys, that's all. I guessed Ironhide because movie Ironhide has big cannons, and the Prime production team had been known to be influenced by the movie series, so that's who the title suggested to me. -------------------- TFWiki.net - The Transformers Wiki: because where else are you going to learn about The Battle for Planet Earth?

"Loose Cannons" doesn't literally refer to cannons, though--it's someone who's unpredictable and rebellious. I reeeeaaaally don't think the title's meant to be taken too literally. -------------------- ![]() |

I'm going to be conservative and assume the episode is about Wheeljack and Dreadwing. Go with what we know, you, uh, know.

I suspect it's a clever double meaning. The Prime Ironhide toy is a blend of G1 and movie Ironhide designs, and includes the big cannons. Here we go. -------------------- I have signatures disabled because they suck.

Sure, that's what the term "loose cannon" means, and if they'd called it "Loose Cannon" I'd agree with you, but the plural is what makes me think it's a double-meaning. -------------------- TFWiki.net - The Transformers Wiki: because where else are you going to learn about The Battle for Planet Earth?

I wouldn't rule that out either, no. I wonder if the TV Guide blurb will shed any light on the identities of the characters!

Considering they say there is something fishy about this "Legendary TF", I am guessing Ultra Magnus. Ironhide and Wheeljack I would not call Legendary...

I hate to add to the "wonder if he'll get a toy" echo, but here I am, doing it anyway. Glad to see confirmation that this is in fact an Insecticon. It also, judging by the phrasing of the FB post, appears to simply be called Insecticon, much like the Energon, Robot Heroes, and HftD releases. Which I'm cool with, I guess. Better than the weird-ass names they had to come up with for the TRU Reissue.
I guess it reminds me of Kickback the most, but obviously it has stronger roots with the IDW Swarm. -------------------- |

New clip for an upcoming episode from Cybertron Con!
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=253304651424520 So... speculation on just what that is? Project Chimera? Scourge? Nemesis Prime? A brainwashed Optimus? (although that'd be repetitive) A combination of all of the above? -------------------- ![]() |

Considering how hallowed out/artificial the voice sounds. I'd be willing to bet this is MECH's first successful Transformer. Makes sense considering Prime was the first one they scanned. Using this "Nemesis Prime" to Frame Optimus/the Autobots, seems like a smart move since it would sink a nice little knife into the trust between the government and the Autobots. Potentially keeping the bots from engaging them.

More tired and weak G1 plots. Great.
