Imaget right to it. Can we add Bayformers to the swear filter?

I suppose it could be swapped out with "Movie-formers"?

I'm gonna have to thumbs down this one I think.

I can see where you're coming from but it's a pretty widespread term and it seems silly to just outright censor it. The only time we've ever really done that was for Titaniums because people kept calling them Tits and I put Hasblow in there because that's just vulgar... but Bayformers is a pretty readily identifiable term to refer to movie styled Transformers and is on the same level as GeeWun to me.

Movieverse or Movie style or something like that.

Edit: sorry, Kal. Didn't see you'd made a ruling before I posted this reply.

Let's filter "." to ", Verily."

...if the swear filter is made to block a word and the selected replacement contains that word (nevermind why you'd do that, just go with the question) would it cause some kind of universe-consuming (or at least software breaking) recursion loop?

Can't really agree with this, because it feels like people calling for censoring something just because it has potentially negative connotations due to being commonly used alongside opinions they don't like. The term itself isn't vulgar or negative in of itself, and could be used by people who don't mind the movie styling. Really sounds like overregulation.

So what about the out cry against I A W T P?

People got tired of seeing it, and it got swear filtered, yet its not vulgar or negative.

I think that one was more about post whoring, people merely saying they agreed without adding anything to the thread. Ask anyone who knows me better than the average board member, a lot of things annoy me. I just don't think an overregulated board is necessarily a better board.

So, like the first several posts in this thread which are all "I agree" and nothing more? Should there be a rule stating you can't agree with something unless you write a whole essay on why, so they adding to the thread?
