Most of these ideas do not appeal to me. Suggest a better, different set then given the molds. Being a smart a** and suggesting the 2012 set doesn't count. The 2012 set. What he said. ....yeah. When one guy says "it's totally easy to do better than the 2012 set!" and another guy says "prove it!," then I don't think a proper response is to then demand the second guy come up with a better 2012 set, counter to his own argument. Have we already forgotten what we're talking about, or...? -------------------- |

Sauve, because well, I just like using that word even when it doesn't typically apply. Similar to this years Gigatron decision.

Well that's the end of that debate.
And in regards to Insecticon Junkions, they'll probably look cool and be great toys; unfortunately they're not really something I need on my shelves. If Hasbro told FP they couldn't, then so be it. But, in my opinion, that's the only reason not to do them. I mean, Junkions! Plus its not like anybody besides Junkheap was ever easy to come across as a mass release, might as well throw some more expensive Junkions into the mix. -------------------- |

U. Razorclaw from the Bludgeon mold (new head) Battle Ravage from the Tracks mold (new head) Optimus Minor from the RTS Prime mold U. Silverbolt from Thunderwing X-Brawn from Ironhide (pairs with previously existing Sideburn and a Prowl from one of the two packs maybe) (new head) Shockblast (not wave) from Jazz This is intentionally hodgepodgey to mirror the result of the 2012 set. I am intrigued by the Alternator figures, but before we get a new Shockblast toy I think we should get a new Shockwave toy. To give it a more unified theme, here is a Universe 1 centered set Razorclaw as mentioned above Swerve as the red tracks Silverbolt as mentioned Primal from RTS Prime Strika from Ironhide Depthcharge from Jazz All with Universe inspired colors and energon tampos. Just as this years set has a lot of blue, I seem a similar theme of purple. And Depth Charge from Jazz? To quote Mr Horse of Ren & Stimpy "No sir, I don't like it." And all this talk of purple or Insecticon colored Junkions, maybe we'll get a toy of Minnesota Viking-bot? -------------------- |

Savvy? Or really suave? You have to know how to talk to computers. You have to be smooth and confident in order to get them to do what you want. -------------------- I have signatures disabled because they suck.

I must be the only one interested in the SG Junkions. Unfortunately, I'm not going, but anyone who is that's getting them has an interested customer (in at least one of them, preferably with the wreckgar head) right here.
Oh, and Magnus is serviceable. Clear head is creepy, but interesting. Wish it was a certain color, as it could have represented Energon or whatever, and helped the sword look better. Truck mode is way better looking than the original Optimus deco. Still want this guy and SW too, for those buying sets. -------------------- |

I hope they are in FULL BLAST Insecticon colors because it would look freakin' awesome. I don't need more regular Junkions. Ditto. ;-) I'm hoping for black and purple. I think they could be gorgeous. -------------------- How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Frankly, I think SG Junkions would be more appropriate in Sharkticon colors. Both Wreck-Gar and Gnaw were 1986 guys who represented larger groups. It's sadly too soon, likely, for another Sharkticon-colored set. Damn.

I think FP should just return to 2007 practices. Put the most desired characters from the molds available. So who would you have done from the molds in the box set?* *that Hasbro isn't already likely planning to do I'd choose some different molds that could still be used but I'll take your challenge on. This will be hard. Bludgeon - Archforce with new head based on G2 Hero Megatron. Color scheme close to G2 Hero Megatron but different than Banzai-Tron's. New character with a profile centered around him being a Samurai to explain his appearance. Optimus Prime - Black Convoy with SG Ultra Magnus' head. Basically RiD Scourge in the G1 universe with the same backstory and color scheme. Not Nemesis Prime since I see RiD Scourge as a different character and not named Scourge because of G1 Scourge. Thunderwing - Macabre. Squadron X leader. Intended to be a toy for the Marvel/IDW comic character. New head based on how he looks in the comic. Sea Spray - Seacon Snaptrap. G1 colors. Head color scheme resembles turtle head since his original black robot head would be too close to Deep Dive's. Ironhide - SG Soundwave with a better head (and molded headband) and more comic accurate color scheme. Jazz - Jackpot with SG Treadshot's head. G1 color scheme. Tracks - Road Rage. More G1 Road Rage accurate than SG Tracks. Not the most iconic of characters I'll agree but I did try to keep the character appropriate for the toy while also attempting to make the set interesting and desirable. Bludgeon has an unique appearance so any existing character would seem inappropriate, Archforce is a blank slate though. Soundwave and Road Rage may seem like cop-outs for not really changing them from the toy we're actually getting but they are the most appropriate characters for the molds. There is just no saving the Ironhide mold. This post has been edited by Bass X0: Jan 13 2012, 06:29 PM |

It's sadly too soon, likely, for another Sharkticon-colored set. Damn. I'm not so sure (especially since we're talking about such different molds from Energon Sharkticon), and although the Sharkticon color-scheme is by no means identical to the Insecticon one, it's close enough that I could see someone compiling a list having confused the two. I guess we'll know when we finally see pictures. -------------------- |
