The previous thread has gotten bulky beyond reason.
With Registration going live it's time for a new thread so others won't feel the need to catch up on 90 pages. Have at it! -------------------- |

Ok, Magnus and Soundwave are the only "gotta have 'em" toys from this set for me, mostly because of who they are, and how I'm kicking myself years later for not getting SG Optimus, Megatron, and a few of the others while I had a somewhat reasonable chance.
However, I'll go for Tracks if I can find him for a pretty low price (I think the top I might pay for him would be $40 or so, though that may not be realistic...). Metalhawk looks pretty nice, though the human head is creepy. I would have preferred the robot head + shell helmet look they used in the WoH club comics. As I mentioned in the previous thread, I think Treadshot looks great, but character-wise he's nearly a nobody. And, despite owning the BiAB set already (and I've tried to get rid of Universe Treadshot on eBay, recently, too, to no avail), the whole Treadshot/Magnus rivalry doesn't really resonate with me. Honestly, the one I really don't care for nearly at all is Overlord. The tank mode looks great, but I can't get past the "hey, let's use a movie toy for Classics Overlord!" idea. It just doesn't work. Which is too bad, considering how cool a character he is now. Still, this makes me hopeful that we'll eventually get a new mold, semi-accurate G1-style Overlord from Hasbro themselves one day. So, again, putting this out there: If anyone getting the set wants to sell their SG Magnus and SG Soundwave, I'm interested. Also, if anyone wants a Universe Treadshot to go with the SG version, I'm willing to sell/trade him. Edit: by the way, how much did I pay for my 2010 Primus package? I may sell the boxed set (I still have a bagged one) to get this year's Iacon package. I want to know if I can at least make my money back. Edit 2: I guess I could also say that if anyone wants the 2010 set, but not this years, I'd be willing to do a trade plus the extra cost (I know this year's is more expensive, right?) plus shipping. Or maybe a no-extra cost trade if you want to keep Overlord. He's the only one I don't really want. Also, I'm really worried about how cool this year's souvenirs will be. I'm still pretty upset that I don't have SG Galvatron or Thundercracker yet. This post has been edited by Octavius Prime: Jan 6 2012, 09:13 PM -------------------- |
