http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers...lectronics.html Mostly stuff we've seen before, but the look at Bumblebee's packaging and the Prime are new, I think. This post has been edited by NightViper: Jan 2 2012, 04:02 PM -------------------- ![]() |

So what is the Robots in Disguise toyline again? Is it the Prime Cyberverse? or Something else? Anyway I continue to love the Prime Cyberverse Energeon gimick. -ZacWilliam, I'm curious about how that Prime's flowing energon will look in practice and if it'l be cool enough to forgive the slightly garish brightness... -------------------- Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?

Pretty sure Prime's "Robots in Disguise" is the mainline, post-First Edition.

Wow these are pretty cool! Makes me wish this energon glow trick could be done with WFC/FOC toys.

-ZacWilliam, I'm curious about how that Prime's flowing energon will look in practice and if it'l be cool enough to forgive the slightly garish brightness... I would imagine that those colors are there just because this is a prototype/mock-up. If the miss-matched plastic doesn't give that away enough, I would think the lack of any paint would. That and the completely different mold. That's DotM Mechtech Prime's alt-mode (note those fuel tanks). -------------------- ![]() |

Just what I've always wanted: more electronics in my Transformers. Not. I believe the electronics are in the weapon. The actual action figure just has the light piping. -------------------- |

I get the feeling that "Robots in Disguise" will be the catch-all packaging for anything that does not fall into "Movie Trilogy" territory. Kind of like how the Universe packaging got a bit more distinct during the 25th Anniversary section. With the "Beast wars Series" or "Armada Series"
With the relatively small cast that Prime has, they may have decided to just merge everything that isn't Movie-verse into one line. Prime will probably be the Primary focus, but I can see our Future "Fall of Cybertron" figures and any new "Classics/Generations" figures being released under the "Robots in Disguise" line as well. So we'll most likely see something like: Transformers Prime: Robots in Disguise Transformers Generations: Robots in Disguise Transformers Fall of Cybertron: Robots in Disguise (yeah I know that makes no sense. lol) This post has been edited by TriBlurr: Jan 2 2012, 08:04 PM -------------------- |

The Energon-flowing concept is kinda' like the Transtech gimmick plans, yes?

I think I'm limiting my Prime purchases to Cyberverse, and mostly there as standins for Classics - Wheeljack in particular.
