Family of Heroes

Transformers Rescue Bots work with human first responders on an island that's also a high-tech testing ground.

Did anyone else catch Blades dancing the robot?

You do realize you just set yourself up for a Kiss-Play joke, right?

As an aside, anyone else here think that Rescue Bots might actually be compatible with the Prime Universe or even the live-action franchise?

Given that Optimus is only making cameos instead of directly leading the team, and that he talks quite grimly about the situation with Cybertron, it could fit the bill for either one.

Yeah, I agree that I feel this could be part of Prime, since its pretty much headed up by the same team. Likely no ever real crossover; but basic designs and what little back story we got helps link them some.

Well this was far more enjoyable then any episode of AEC.

I love Optimus is a non-stop source of joy-crushing. Three minutes in and he gets to tell the main cast "ALL YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEEEEAAADDD!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Not as bad as I thought it would be. So far it seems like adult fans can enjoy it as well.

I liked it. Transformers:Eureka seems like a fun concept.

I'm a little surprised they didn't actually use the word Dinobots for the escaped robots.

There weree some honest fun moments and characterization already. I like the set up of Rescue Bots being an existing type of TF and I like Heatwave's complete and total impatience with the whole concept of disguise.

Wow, I really like this. It's potentially a better show than Prime, and I like Prime.

Like a lot of people, I've been lamenting that Prime Bulkhead isn't the real Bulkhead. Now we know where the real Bulkhead is. I suspect that his name actually was Bulkhead until Prime decided to use Bulky instead of Ironhide, which is kind of a shame.

This is my favorite Optimus mouth design yet. Nice and robotic. All of the designs are nice. I kinda wish they'd get toys designed for older kids, but that might defeat the purpose.

I like the characters. Everyone but Heatwave is pretty one-note so far, but you can say that about G1. The Autobots are perfectly normal Autobots and the humans are about as good as we ever get.

That was a lot better than I thought it would be. Though it's a bad sign for Prime when the little kids version of TF has nothing even remotely as annoying as Miko.

The animation is still low budget, but doesn't look as terrible as it did in the preview. The writing is actually pretty good, and it's definitely designed to be something adult fans and their kids can enjoy without either of them getting annoyed - it may actually be better than Prime in that regard.

It's also kinda grim - they aren't brushing over the fact that Cybertron's a dead world, and it actually kinda can fit into Prime continuity (and I'm almost hoping for a crossover in Prime at some point). None of the characters are remotely annoying except the elder brother (and he's supposed to be), and all are fairly endearing - though there's some definite nepotism happening in the Griffen security offices. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

It wasn't MLP:FIM, but it didn't hurt in the least to watch, and I kinda liked it. The kids should love it. High marks from me.

That was really great. I like the RiD style head-in-monitor form of communications. How'd they manage to convince Erin from E*Surance to play Dani?

Just had an opportunity to watch both this episode and ep2. Absolutely freaking LOVED it. The characters are engaging, and there are actually some kid-tense situations presented.

And I agree that it's not too much of a stretch to think this happens roughly in the Prime setting. The comments made by Optimus, as said before, as well as his comment about the young of this world being their best allies struck me as totally referring to Jack, Miko, and Raf.

I'm hoping the YouTube doesn't get pulled before I have a chance to show these to my boys tomorrow.

High praise and well done to those guys. I second the wishes that we could get versions of these guys in a more adult line. I'd love to have Prime-style versions of Heatwave, Chase, Boulder, and Blades.

Man, now I'm even more excited for Christmas since I got my boys the whole set of these guys. I wanna play with 'em too!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

You are not alone. It is insanely freaky. To make matters worse, he walks out looking like... Optimus, then his jaw is exposed and his eyes shrink into dots. He looks like Prime when it's time to go on a murder spree.

C'mon. Who at Hasbro is making these decisions/letting these decisions happen?

Green T-rex, brown Pterosaur, gray sauropod with robot bits showing had me thinking of an entirely different set of dinosaur Transformers.
