Eah time I do the laundry and find a lonely sock I say "Aww, you lost your friend didn't you?" and I gently fold it and place it in the drawer hoping it finds a new "friend." After awhile they make "friends" with the other abandoned socks and become a new mismatched couple. No one notices that they aren't the same. We're all just happy to see our socks have "friends" again. Give it a try, your socks can make new "friends" too.
