I recently bought the legends class RTS gun Megatron and tore it out of its packaging while driving home. Imediately after converting it to gun mode I noticed it has two horizontal pegs and a slot in his left leg that makes up part of the grip.
Is he designed to be held by somebody and if so by who?

I know he doesn't fit MP Prime or Megs. Anybody have any clue why he has these slots?

Well, at this point, you might as well wait for MP-11 Starscream to come out next Spring. Unless you're extremely budget conscious. But the G1-coloured MP-03 Starscream is going for roughly the same price on eBay currently, so...

Well, by the fact that he has big, semi-articulate fingers, anyways. He can't grasp fully around the handle (well, neither can MP Starscream. But the purpose-designed tabs/slots help that), and it's not a particularly stable grip.

Can the 3rd party Infinity Warfare hands hold him? They fit on Predaking, and all the Energon combiners, so if they hold him, that might be a cool combo.

Never tried. But I don't think so. The IW hands are designed to a fairly particular grip width (maybe about 7-8mm?), and I think Megatron's handle exceeds that width. Any wider than that, and the thumb will get knocked out of place, and there goes any sense of grip, seeing as the fingers definitely wouldn't be able to wrap around properly.

Energon Scorponok's claw can obviously get around it.

Eh, the Bruticus one just makes me want them to do a Legends G1 Shockwave that can also be held.

$15? Not bad, might see about picking it up when I got some extra money, so the fist works with just the G1 combiners?

I bought one of those WST Shockwaves just for my FP Bruticus to hold. Nice little figure.

And yes, the included fist is for G1 combiners, G1 Bruticus inparticular because of the coloring.

Should work on anything with a 5mm hole (whether that location should really have a fist protruding from it is your choice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) ).

I'm pretty sure FP Bruticus can hold Shockwave there in gun mode with his own hands, though.
