VECTOR ZETA SETS UPDATE VIA THE MANUFACTURER

Hey Chad,

Just got back from X-mas with my family. Besides that, Painting has really
slowed down my process. I decided to paint the whole kit, and maybe I
shouldn't have decided that. I was really hoping to show that off as an
update. The work has just been tedious and slow.

That process:
1. trim all flash
2. clean all 35 pieces with soap water and toothbrush, and it turns out
that with multiple kits I end up cleaning 350 pieces if I do it 10 kits at
a time.
3. paint a layer
4. dry
5. rinse and repeat.

I'm really close to clearing all these hurdles, just give me until friday.
I gaurantee 10 finished sets will be done and lined up(not taking into
account the sets that are casted but not painted). I'll take some pics, and
then you'll get a delivery receipt the following week

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) I think that alone would be worth the 8-hour drive to attend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

VECTOR ZETA SETS UPDATE VIA THE MANUFACTURER

One of the recent e-mail updates seemed to imply the second half of the Vector Zeta set was not going to be made for this year's slag-a-con. As the kit seemed to really depend on the full set for the proper effect, is this the case?

Due to how long the first manufacturer has taken on the first set, this year there will not be the second part due to the inability to have the design ready for another maunfacturer to produce them. With that being said I am working on getting it done for next years show. I apologize for this.

That is...disappointing. I dunno what else to say; I paid up for the first set assuming I'd be able to complete it. I know it doesn't look that great in Alt-mode on it's own.

Will, Jake, Rob... at this point, it would be criminal for me not to make the drive to see them.

There are more guests to be announced still. Just think if it is those three plus let's say three more guests or four. Criminal now, what will it be then?

I know when I'm beat. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-wildride.gif)

How long is the pre-reg open for? And is there a con hotel available?

EDIT: Also, how secure is the "WePay" thing? After the trouble I had with... well, y'know... I'm even more leery of something with which I'm unfamiliar.

From what I've seen, it's pretty secure. Haven't had any issues so far. I found it doing a search for Paypal alternatives, and it seems to be the place a lot of people are going after Paypal decides to freeze their accounts. One of the cool things with WePay is that after you buy your tickets, it gives you a PDF file to print out with all of your tickets on it. So it's like instant purchase verification (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
