So, I just picked up a Henkei Thundercracker, and was pleasantly surprised to find that he had absolutely no loose joints, and the launchers fit perfectly in his arms. He's perfect. Neat!

Then I realized he doesn't have the common remolds - no extra line across the air intakes and no rounded mounts on the wings. Has anybody seen this? I was under the impression that all of these used the other mold, and that part of that caused the launchers not to fit.

For what it's worth the Skywarp I picked up at the same time uses the remold, but is also still pretty good quality wise.

And also, before anybody asks, yes I am sure it's not a KO.

Never heard of this. Is it possible you got the 2nd batch, as when Gentei Thrust & Dirge were made available, so were more Thundercrackers?

I don't know. Did that happen? I suppose it's possible.

Look at the date on the inside of his leg, what is the date (it should be A - L, first 12 letters of the alphabet representing the month of production, and then followed by 4 digits, for the day and year)?

Well, here's a thing. He doesn't have one.

His copyright stamp has © 2006 whereas Skywarp has © 2008.

Yeah he used the older version of the mold, which at the time was the better of the two. Very interesting.

I'd actually buy another Henkei Thundercracker if I would be assured it was the new one.

Strange he doesn't have the date stamp on the inside of his lower legs.

Might I ask where or whom you bought it from? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

I bought it sealed from Mandarake, a collector shop in Japan.

Mandarake has a special policy to give OCD Transformers collectors priority on mold fixes.

Believe me, I know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-blitz.gif)

Can you order from them if you're not located in Japan/visiting their shop?

Oh, right. Since you can technically search for about anything on their store, the first thing they ask is if you want to filter adult content.
