My DCUC Wave 19 arrived last week. Very cool sculpts all around, with the exception of Stargirl, who is even worse in person. She's a bit of a disaster. I'm going to try and fix her abdomen and face, but so far, I've just made her like a chainsaw sculpture.

Army builders aside, I have nine figures in transit to me, and then I'll have only six individual characters to own before I can consider my DCIH collection complete.

As for wave 19, it will ship to me as soon as I change all my shipping info over to the new house. Kinda sad Stargirl looks like such a freak. My daughter really wants me to buy one for her... -------------------- Llevo el prisma de tus ojos en mi casco de astronauta y la tímida aurora de tus células... |

STRIPE makes the whole wave worth it. I know little of the character, but I love the figure.
As for Stargirl, she looks like this: http://thefwoosh.com/2011/08/first-look-dc...rt-i#more-17971 Only her torso was even more messed up on mine. It's molded in flesh colored plastic, then painted blue, then flesh paint on top, and it looked awful. The casting quality was really crummy too. Add the bizzaro-muffin-top, jokerface, and kinda odd proportions of the small female DC buck, and it's a really tough figure to love. -------------------- |

With a spare Lex Luthor body and a little paint, I turned evil, out-of-character, poorly-written Maxwell Lord into suit-wearing, Justice League financier good guy Maxwell Lord:

Super 80's Shoulderpad man!
Nabbed a DCSH Brainiac off ebay yesterday. I am inordinately pleased by this. Edit: DCUC is dead! Long live DC Universe All Stars! http://www.itsalltrue.net/?p=15233 (IMG:http://www.itsalltrue.net/newsimages/asw1.jpg) This post has been edited by Nanite: Nov 7 2011, 06:52 PM -------------------- |

I'd be all for the rehash of BB but needs some wings. Larfleeze is cool but don't the different Lanterns of the different corps have funky looking handles. SB Prime looks like he needs another head resculpt. And whos the Plas wannabe? Looks too serious to be Plastic Man.

Apparently it's the Plastic Man of Flashpoint.
Nothing exciting here IMO. Couldn't they shove this crap in the sub and give us Jay Garrick at retail? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif) -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif) As a club member, I am very happy not to be receiving any of these. I agree with Daith, Superboy has a pinhead. Larfleez looks worse then his DC Direct version. Plastic Man comes from a mini I didn't read, and which sounds awful. BB goes fairly high on ebay so I can't really fault that one. -------------------- |

Brainiac needed Koko, so I gave him Koko:
(IMG:http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t285/Detour84/DCIHBrainiacKoko.jpg) And by mistake an online store sent me the wrong figure and let me keep it free, so I put it to use making that timeless Jim Lee character that's bound to be forever remembered by the common consciousness as one of the greatest characters ever to see print: Deathblow! (IMG:http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t285/Detour84/DCIHDeathblow.jpg) I know some Wildstorm characters were folded in the DCnU... has he? Regardless, he does have his uses: (IMG:http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t285/Detour84/DCIHDeathblowVsWarhead.jpg) -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

And today, I found out Mattel did a single-carded version of the poseable DCIH Batman included in the many Public Enemies multipacks.
But this one sports a nicer bat-sigil, a nicer skintone on the face AND a nicer contrast between the gray and the black. And it comes with a spiffy button. So naturally, best I can figure, it's hella rare: http://gofigureactionfigures.com/product9532.html (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif) -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

Terry looks quite odd done in the mainstream DC style, imho.
I have seen the 12-inch Movie Hal Jordan, and man, that is one ugly toy. Light-up feature actually looks quite cool, but it is just overall not as articulated as a toy of such height should be. I know I am probably the only one collecting the line, but... any news of that supposed third Mattycollector GL Movie Masters toy? Still hoping for Stel, or Hannu... -------------------- |

It's something I've noticed more and more of late, but it seems toy companies have now decided that the bigger the toy, the lesser the articulation. Hasbro's been doing the same with its larger Marvel toys. -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

Thanks to finding a capeless Robin in a DCIH lot I needed to fill gaps in my collection, I managed to make a human-form Beast Boy!
Took a few liberties with the color scheme since the details varied depending on the era/medium. The Bat-family keeps it real in the Batcave!
(IMG:http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t285/Detour84/DCIHBatcave.jpg) Hopefully I can find good base parts for Oracle so she can join them. As an aside, I love this little playset. It doesn't take up much space because everything closes up into a small case, and it has tons of neat details. I'll have to do some mods, like removing the sticker of Bruce Wayne's action figure from the rotating wall and painting the bat-gadgets on the wall and the workbench. -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |
