Reverse Pretender Beast Machines Snarl! Or...Er... Armor of Omens:

Also kind of hilarious that the inner figure gets knees but no elbows and the armor gets elbows but no knees.

Way more interested in the Mumm-Rod. That's just a damn sweet design.

I have to admit, it did take me a few minutes to remember that the Sword of Omens won't attack someone who is good... but, that's probably in part due to the fact that the Eye of Thundera was originally going to be used by Mumm-ra.
...which brings up the question: Say Mumm-Ra gets the sword; then what? --LBD "Nytetrayn" -------------------- |

We saw the stone used to shoot down Thundercats and everyone as long as it was hooked up to that giant cannon - probably, it was the enchantment that Jaga mentions to Mumm-ra in the first episode that prevents the forces of evil from using it. I guess he would have to remove it somehow, then he could use it anyway he wanted to.
Love the armor - not great articulation, but looks nice. And yes, now I only need to find some scout-sized toy I could pass on as Groundbreaker for a repaint. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) The 'Sarcophagmobile' needs more function, though, other then the opening cockpit. And man, inner figure Lion-O will be the first Thundercats toy with GPS, yes? (I know, I know, no longer a problem). regarding the larger Cheetara and Tygra, they are instant buys. Now all we need are Grune and the Thunderkittens in that format. When is a 4 inch or 6 inch Slythe going to be released, though? There hasn't been a good episode since the space pyramid flashback. The secondaries get absolutely no development time; it all goes to the guest species of the week. Am I the only one who feels this way? If this wasn't called Thundercats I'd have stopped watching months ago. -------------------- The TFWiki: when just five Infernos aren't enough. http://www.tfwiki.net

To say the Elephants or the Berbils got no development time is preposterous! If you're referring to the Thundercats not named LionO, this just isn't true. the last handful of eps has included plenty of time devoted to the Wilykittens, Panthro, Tygra and just last episode Cheetara as well.
It's far too early to deem the "species of the week" as such because we don't know what kind of role they'll have in the larger scheme of things. I fully expect to see our heroes meet up with the Petlars again, now hundreds of generations removed, who likely treat the Thundercats as their saviors, or even as gods. Not to mention a full blown "all the dudes we've helped on our travels come back to help us when we really need it" scene toward the end. Spoilers for this week's ep HIGHLIGHT to view: Images and video show that we'll see the Elephants again this week, as well as some Lizards and Grune. Also some backstory on Cheetara and Tygra. I'm fully content to let them tell me their story and go along for the ride, I have no ability to claim "this is how you should be doing it" as I don't have a full view of what they have planned. LionO's sight-beyond-sight training may as well be the writers talking directly to the audience in this case. This post has been edited by Confuzor: Nov 18 2011, 11:25 AM -------------------- ![]() |

Cheetara and Tigra focus episode with extended backstory for both! There. That's what was missing. -ZacWilliam, so that's at least a focus episode for everyone save Kat. -------------------- Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?

I think Young Cheetara was cute. I never knew she was an orphan.

But if this week's episode is as Zac's just described it, that's a buh-buh-BIG step in the right direction. I still think its pretty ridiculous that it took until basically the halfway point of the season for it to happen, though. Finally a good episode! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
4/5 That said, Tygra's way better than Lion-O. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-op.gif) Jagga was bit of a dick for letting a kid to sit outside on the rain for who know how long. Only let her inside when she was utterly exhausted! Sheesh! This post has been edited by D.M: Nov 19 2011, 08:44 PM |

I think Young Cheetara was cute. I never knew she was an orphan. The ending predicts a possible twist that'll come to play in the second season. Yeah, now they need a Cheetara kitten toy...possibly a Tygra kitten toy too. And for that matter, where are the petelar toys? And the Drifter toys? Eventually they're gonna have to do the elephants too. Aaaaaand, just imagine this line of thought going on ad nauseum. And as for the prediction HIGHLIGHT to view: I think if they make Tygra a villian, they're going to catch a lot of backlash from fans. Whatever this betrayel is, I certainly hope that it's either a prophecy blown out of proportion or at the very least, that it isn't something that makes Tygra irredeemable. I mean, honestly, I personally wouldn't mind seeing Tygra go down the irredeemable villian path. I never really cared much for him. It would be a hell of a twist. But the amount of backlash that would result from other fans... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-wildride.gif) -------------------- |

Ahhh, forward momentum. I missed you.
When the series started, I thought Tygra was just a jerk; shows what one episode with a few minutes of backstory can do to complete enrich a character's personality and motivations. Gotta feel sorry for the guy. Lion-o gets the throne, Lion-o gets the sword, Lion-o gets the attention and now Lion-o gets the girl he's had a crush on since he was a teenager. Just one more blow to the gut for Tygra. I didn't care too much for Grey Delisle's teenage Cheetara because, er, I'm just kinda tired of Delisle's voice. But I guess that's more of a personal thing. The flashback seemed more for Tygra's benefit, but it was nice to knwo Cheetara wasn't always the Miss Perfect she's been in the show so far. Seriously, I think Cheetara could use a few more flaws in her character; she's super fast, intelligent, the voice of reason, never gives up... she's just too perfect. Of all the Thundercats, she's the dullest. As for the prephsized "betrayal", well, it'll probably have some strings attached to cop it out in some way; like maybe Tygra gets possessed by Mumm-Ra or tricked by him into acting on his baser emotions or maybe there's just some revelation that Tygra's kept secret from Lion-O, thus making Lion-O feel "betrayed". Any number of things that can qualify as a "betrayal" without making Tygra an out and out villain. -------------------- Hey, check out one of my sites!

I was at TRU and saw someone had hid the last Cheetara behind a Thunder tank. This was the first time I ever saw these figures in person and I thought it was cool they had the whole team there if I wanted... then I saw how crappy they were. For 3.99 these would have been crappy toys.. for 7.99 there's no way in hell I'm going to waste the money and space to own any of these things.
So I re-hid the Cheetara for the person who did want it (more power to them) and went along my way. |

I really hate to question Jaga's judgment. I really do. And I have to admit that Cheetarah turned out to be a pretty good cleric.
But...that didn't look like patience that Cheetarah was displaying. It looked like stubbornness. Maybe just me. |
