Huh, is that a take on Doberlord from the Wildstorm comics, I wonder?

Do we need to change the title to Thundercats Hoes now? You know...that was totally not what I intended when I originally created this topic. I only named it this because it's their battlecry. *sigh* This post has been edited by Caldwin: Apr 26 2012, 10:17 AM -------------------- |

A mullet? Really?
Typically, the hair from the 80s cartoon is supposed to be stupider. And wasn't she the medic of the ThunderCats? Now she's a angsty gladiator? While I hated those Wildstorm comics (save the Origins mini), I thought the name "Doberlord" was hilariously awesome. So I kinda would like it if they carried that over, yearh. -------------------- Hey, check out one of my sites!

The medic thing was made up for the comics as...she didn't really have a role in the G1 cartoon other than "the other lady on the team".

I could've sword she used her medical skills at some point in the cartoon, but I could be misremembering.

I was trying to remember earlier today if she had some kind of job. Really, after a couple years stranded on Third Earth, other lady on the team was probably role that everyone appreciated. |

Previews are up on Thundercats.org as well as design sheets of Pumyra, Dobo, and some of the dog gladiators. Great designs, btw. Love how much of their armor is made of discarded technology they no longer know how to use.
Was the "mace for head" robot guy a hommage from the old show, btw? A mullet? Really? Typically, the hair from the 80s cartoon is supposed to be stupider. Umm, I fail to see any significant difference in her hairstyle compared to the old version. And the whole hatred against Lion-O (and maybe the whole royal family?) just makes her more interesting. Wonder what caused that... This post has been edited by BB Shockwave: Apr 27 2012, 10:24 AM -------------------- |

Dan Norton has uploaded tons and tons of designs, sketches, and even early concept art of characters and vehicles from the show, it's worth checking out - even a lot of minor characters are there like the Drifter, the Duelist, Khamai, Shen... Oh, and guide on how the Berbils transform!
Also, LIon-O's mom was supposed to be called Leona, but much like with Chrysalis in MLP FiM, it was never used in the show. This post has been edited by BB Shockwave: Apr 27 2012, 01:14 PM -------------------- |

"The Pit": Good A-plot (and unsurprisingly a bit of Panthro's background this time, albeit without the flashback scenes...just stills). Wretched B-plot.

The Thunderkittens sub-plot took way too much time away from the main story.
I really hope Pumyra sticks around beyond the freeing of the Thundarians from Plundarr Mines. -------------------- ![]() |
