Eh, I dunno. I kinda dig the Roadblock myself, and both Beachhead and Kamakura are good custom fodder. With a new head and some new accessories, Kamakura can make a nice VvV-inspired Night Creeper, while Beachhead is so basic, the sky is essentially the limit.

I just don't understand that reasoning, since that requires them to put cost into development, sculpting, and the molds for the brick drivers. That's a lot of money that mix-and-matching doesn't require, since it only needs one of those steps. Actual parts production is the issue. Even with all the parts already tooled, a figure with 30ish parts costs more to make than a new figure with 7ish parts. |

Good news everyone!
With Saturday Nights plans de-railed by possible food poisoning (damn you Burger King and your chicken sandwiches!), I stayed home to dine on crackers rather than pizza. So in the morning ran to the east-side Wal-mart to get some soup (and scout for any 'new Phyrexia' packs/intro decks/fat-packs/ect that might be hanging about... want my elsh norn dammit!!!!), and lo and behold, they'd gotten in Joes for the first time since they clearanced out the movie figs. Someone had sniped Sci-fi and one of the zombies, but I did pick up the rest, including law (who I was on the fance about). -------------------- |

Yeah, we are finally starting to get some GI Joes up here in NY. Right were I left of from my hunting in NC during the fall. I just am starting to wonder if Renegades Storm Shadow is exclusive to ebay or not. He is the only one I am having a hard time finding.

I've seen everyone else multiple times at this point, but I've yet to see SS in the wild. One per case in a single wave, with everyone else getting held over/added to in the next wave, and that wave being the one getting stocked at many places... I got a wave 4 case from BBTS... I keep telling myself I don't need him... there have been at least five BEST STORM SHADOW EVARs since 2007, so we'll probably get an even better one soon enough... and this particular mold is getting at least two Retaliation repaints, along with most of the accessories being reused... I keep telling myself I don't need him... This post has been edited by Lukeblast: Mar 5 2012, 05:14 PM |

You misunderstand. Storm Shadow's in the wave 3 case, and as such is the only figure I wasn't able to get. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying another case of guys I already have to get him... or in the alternative, paying as much as a case just to get him.

That black-and-red ninja will lead my other red ninjas, and the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow will join my "I have too damn many of these characters but these are too cool to throw away" pile. -------------------- This week at Comic Critics!: Like a Brit out of Hell

The red ninja is going to be Slice, because... well, really now.
The Storm Shadow I will probably make into an approximation of VvV Slice, but call Slash, because I don't need two guys named Slice and I have too damn many red ninjas anyway. The Snake Eyes will... eh. This post has been edited by Lukeblast: Mar 5 2012, 08:51 PM |

Roadblock's got at least 2 more single toys coming out, so I'd rather one without camo paint all over him. What, you don't appreciate the "Commando" homage? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ball.gif) QUOTE(the last prince) Yeah, we are finally starting to get some GI Joes up here in NY. Right were I left of from my hunting in NC during the fall. I just am starting to wonder if Renegades Storm Shadow is exclusive to ebay or not. He is the only one I am having a hard time finding. Same situation with my Walmart, seems Wallyworld might be giving Joe some support leading up the movie (that, or simply slotted the existing line to "save space" for the movie stuff in May). Either way, I might be seeing new Joes locally again (and not at a collector/drug store prices!)...right after getting all I wanted via Walgreens and TRU.com... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-megs.gif) Hell, knowing Walmart, they won't even get any Joes (or if they do, it will be one or two piddly cases) until they start build up for Retaliation. |

The area Target has a Steel Brigade and a Techno-Viper, but my spending limit for that particular trip was $5 (I was primarily looking at getting some cheap Legos) and so I couldn't get either one of them.

I can't wait for him and repaint him so my Predator team can FINALLY have an acceptable Dutch.
I'll buy another for the Commando homage, naturally. -------------------- |

And I'd rather pay the crappy eBay price for a ROC Kamakura than settle for this one. Kamakura was rare? Like how rare? I never considered I'd lucked out finding him in a TRU randomly looooong after most movie stuff had gone or shelfwarmed. Yeah, we are finally starting to get some GI Joes up here in NY.
