Huh. Thats the Autobot who left, huh. I'm surprised. This will make for an interesting season two. HIGHLIGHT to view: I found the battle with Unicron to be underwhelming though. Perhaps an even more epic battle will take place later on. Friendly Reminder to all posters, the Episode has yet to air in most markets, please continue to use SPOILER tags until the US air date of 10/15/2011. Thank you. -PC This post has been edited by Powered Convoy: Oct 9 2011, 10:48 PM |

AH! Ok I watched it!
It seemed like most of the Transformer peeps I follow on Twitter were watching it, so I did it in self-spoiler-defense. HIGHLIGHT to view: Ooo, It seems like besides a few small details Exodus was more accurate than a lot of us originally thought. I wonder if we'll get to see the result of the Velocitronian Civil War eventually.. This post has been edited by Silent_Magnus: Oct 9 2011, 06:42 PM -------------------- |

Man, this episode is the perfect embodiment of what I hate about this show's choice of giving everybody arm guns. Not only have Prime's huge guns always looked ridiculous swinging out of his forearms, but
HIGHLIGHT to view: the huge siege on Unicron's innards wasn't any different from the show's usual "Run in and shoot all the Vehicons" scenes. Though I am intrigued by where Season 2 is gonna take things, and Soundwave certainly showed relative newcomer to the cause Airachnid just why everyone's afraid of him. -------------------- |

Wow, didn't see that coming.

Well no wonder Season 2 will start in November. That was a MEAN cliffhanger! I'm glad that they didn't have any epic fight, since this is only the first season an epic fight with Unicron would probably be using the "epic final battle" card too early, not that the battle against the anti-bodies wasn't beautifully animated.

Ok, yeah, that's new. Love it.
I found the fight to be underwhelming as well, but thoroughly look forward to next season! -------------------- |

I enjoyed this. HIGHLIGHT to view:
The just-in-time backstory insertions are still annoying me a bit, but they're adding up to a coherent mythos. The tension was real, the characters were solidly written and played, particularly Megatron, and the results should be interesting. I also think that the understated fight could turn out to be a strength rather than a weakness, but I still thought it was much more interesting to watch than the fight with Unicron's avatars last episode. And, yay, pretty art, both the painted stills and the CG magic effects. Edit: And yay for Soundwave's "Nope, not doing that again" attitude toward Airrachnid, as well. Soundwave is consistently awesome and needs to show up and have something to do more often. This post has been edited by Copper Bezel: Oct 10 2011, 12:13 AM |

HIGHLIGHT to view:
The show actually fooled me last episode. When Prime pulled out the key I thought "Is that the Key to Vector Sigma?", but the lie he told seemed to make sense. Giving Jack the power to turn off the ground bridge just in case something went wrong, but I'm glad my original guess was right. I hope I can pick one of the show staff's brains at New York Comic Con as to why the season finale was practically self-contained. 'Cause it's seriously weird.
HIGHLIGHT to view: Also I'm starting a 'how long 'til Optimus is back to normal' pool by season-quarters. My money's on mid-season at the latest. This post has been edited by Sprocket: Oct 10 2011, 12:10 AM -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

Well this season ender sure made up for a lot of the crap earlier. Despite being a smaller scale fight than vs the Rock Lordicrons, the bots fighting the Unicron Antibodies was a lot more exciting and well put together. The flashback sequence was very well done.
And of course, the Surprise Ending, right up there with "AND YOU NO LONGER EXIST" for best TF Cliffhangers. Now there's 3 ways they could handle this from this point on. An awesome way, an interesting way, and a probable way. Spoilers: HIGHLIGHT to view: AWESOME WAY: Orion Pax stays a Decepticon most of the season, and the story is about how the Autobots deal with being at such a huge disadvantage. INTERESTING WAY: I really want this to happen (but I don't expect it). Orion Pax won't be able to stand the Cons very long, and he rejoins the Autobots very quick (I give him 3 episodes, tops). But his memories remain lost permanently, and we actually get a lot of Optimus chracter development from that as the Autobots are stuck with essentially a newbie who was once someone they revered. PROBABLE WAY: The Key to Vector Sigma makes everything better again and Optimus regains his memories after 3 episodes tops. -------------------- |

Seriously, people, have you been overstimulated to the point that nothing really excites you anymore? All your reactions range from "ACCEPTABLE" to"Not-worse. Episode. Ever." The scene HIGHLIGHT to view: when Prime and Megswere fighting together back to back gave me chills. Such an amazing scene. Agreed. I always knew the word "fangasm" existed, but I've only experienced it sparingly. Once at Botcon, and again watching this scene.
