http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/new...-preview/22920/ Is it me or has distribution of the last few issues in England been poor? I couldn't find #24 and #25 except for expensive imports from America. And could only find #26 in an actual comic shop, not on Ebay where I usually buy the comics from. Oh look, Prowl is a GTR now. Wasn't he a 370 Z last time?

Oh goody, MalwareContinuum. Why the hell do people send previews to them instead of sites that don't give massive warnings?

Wish Brawl's spotter had a more distinguishable silhouette, then I might actually care who it is.

Why exactly do we care about this again? Why is obtaining evidence that one human killed one Decepticon and lied about it so frikkin important?

I like seeing Prowl and Streetwise work together.

I figured the spotter was Vortex or Blast Off. Probably Blast Off.
"Take the shot and brag to Perceptor later." Prowl's developed a sense of humor. Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to this one. -------------------- William Rendfeld

And having read the issue, I feel really unimpressed. We had hints of some complex anti-Cybertronian conspiracy with elements present in Skywatch under Spike, including that Ben Simpson guy and potentially in collusion with the Decepticons, and instead we've got a story elaborating on the fact that Spike's a spoiled brat with a superiority complex.
I mean yeah, fine, we've had wide conspiracies with humans and Decepticons working against Autobots as recently as a big blockbuster film, but damn it all, it'd be a lot more interesting than what we're getting, especially if this 'Last Story on Earth' is just buildup for one of the upcoming ongoings. Guh. And I was actually looking forward to this arc. -------------------- William Rendfeld

Yeah, that's my problem too. There's hints there's something big, but then the story keeps centering on the fact that Spike killed Scrapper, and given Costa's track record I doubt it'll be much more than that. Which, as others have said, is far from being a big deal and I don't really care, nor do I think any of the other characters should care.

I like how the fact that Spike came out and admitted it to Prowl at the end pretty much means the rest of this issue and the previous part of this story were completely pointless.

So who was the super stealth spotter guy? Hard to say. You could ask the writer, but he'd need to run it by James Roberts. -------------------- |

Part of me thinks it'll turn out to be a new and improved Scrapper, and thus Spike's off the hook, because Scrapper technically never died.

The moment-to-moment, page-to-page storytelling is way ahead of Costa's traditional 'stand around an empty room saying very little' method. But that still leaves the story itself being told, and it's built on a foundation that's not very sturdy.

I had to hit the Wiki to remind myself why killing Scrapper was even worthy of covering up in the first place.
Because when I got to the end of this issue, it felt like Spike's revelation should have been followed by Prowl saying, "Nice work! Let's have cake and punch to celebrate!" Revenge-killing a surrendering opponent, okay, I can see why (some of) the Autobots wouldn't love it. But as it is, I'm hoping the followup to Spike's confession will be something like, "I don't know why you're surprised, Prowl, we almost killed YOU back in issue one."
