Once again Hasbro is holding a Star Wars Fans' Choice Poll where the character with the most votes will receive an upcoming figure!
What do you need to do? We ask that you post your top character in this thread. Just the one. We will then tally the votes and send the top ten characters to Hasbro. Deadline for our entry is September 28, so hurry and post your entries! *Edit* A couple of additional tidbits: QUOTE All polling result lists will be combined together (each outlet getting an equal voice) with the #1 character on each list worth 10 points, the #2 character worth 9 points, the #3 worth 8 points, etc. The resultant point values will be used to generate the final ballot of 20 choices, which will be announced in October by STAR WARS Insider on their website (http://titanmagazines.com/t/star-wars-insider/). Fans will then be able to vote on STAR WARS Insider’s site for their favorite character out of the Top 20, and the character with the most votes as of November 31 will be the new STAR WARS Fans’ Choice figure! QUOTE Please note: any characters selected from the current STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS animated series would be done in a realistic style. QUOTE The winning character will be announced at Hasbro’s 2012 Collector-Fan Media Day event at Toy Fair in New York in February 2012. Remember that this is Star Wars, so be extra picky in your characters! If you vote Boba Fett, which one? Empire or Return of the Jedi? And don't worry if you character is too obscure, this is your chance to get a toy for character that has so far gone unloved! So obscure away! *Edit 2* A small correction from Hasbro: QUOTE One small clarification from yesterday's email: the character with the most votes as of December 1 will be the new STAR WARS Fans’ Choice figure! *Edit 3* Since there are just so many Star Wars characters out there, we're going to allow users to post lists of Star Wars characters that they would like to see, instead of limiting each person to one character. So now even if you have already posted a character, feel free to stop back and post more characters' names. Each name posted will count as one vote for that character. So even if Admiral Piett is listed fifth on your list, he gets the same treatment as your "first choice" character. After tallying all of the lists, the characters with the most votes will be sent to Hasbro. And remember, this is for an upcoming toy. If you post a character who already has one or more toys, PLEASE SPECIFY WHY YOU WANT ANOTHER! Do you want that character in a different costume? Do you want an update of that figure with better detail/articulation? Is it a Clone Wars character that you want in a more realistic style? Please expand upon it further than just the name!
