So stuff's really heating up now, it's the part of the Arc where we get the huge awesome fight, aka "The Best Part."
HIGHLIGHT to view: Oh, and Sanji can fly now. Awesome. This post has been edited by Dr. DoofenZek: Sep 25 2011, 04:56 PM -------------------- |

Everything in this last chapter was amazing as they started the 'reveals', but yeah. The bit with HIGHLIGHT to view:
Sanji Skywalking was the only thing that actually caught me completely off guard. Hody has completely lost control of the situation, and he knows it. |

I hope they dub more of the anime into English soon...

I'd been following the Funi releases but as those have dried up with nothing new announced I've gotten tired of waiting after several months without new One Piece to watch. Needless to say, I've missed this show and am making up for lost time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif) Once I get to ep 307 I'll switch over to Hulu and watch the subs they have there.

Funi's up to, what, G8 right now? At least, I know that was set to release last April, I haven't checked since then.
Yeah, the manga is moving along nicely now. HIGHLIGHT to view: Brook's skills are nicely developed, and I like how they "backstoried" Sanji's new skill, that should come in handy. Zoro's was neat enough, and I'm loving the work Franky's done on the ship. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) |

Yeah, the last "new" release was G8. Funi has been re-releasing older episodes in 25 ep sets. I wonder if once they catch up they'll start up again.

Funimation hasn't announced a 4th season yet. They say they're in talk with Toei.
This week's chapter was so full of SWEET! I fanboyed like Luffy and Chopper at Franky's new vehicles, tho I forsee not alot of opportunities to use them. We've only seen the Mini-merry and Shark Sub once each (not including anime fillers) and the Waver has been nearly forgotten. -------------------- ![]() |

Also, if you're keeping tabs with the Anime, this week they went out and actually animated the part where Luffy and Jinbei visit Marineford again. I thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah, the anime tends to be pretty good about filler, when and where they can animating offscreen happenings. Although I've not been watching it, i probably should get caught back up, but I'm just kinda waiting for the post timeskip anime and sort of restarting there. |

I honestly haven't felt this thrilled since Impel Down. I miss new techniques and crazy villain groups like CP9. The fishmen make good foes, even if it appears that they aren't capable of standing toe-to-toe with the Strawhats.

It seems like this arc is mostly supposed to show just how crazy strong the Strawhats have gotten for their 2 years. Frankly I'd have preferred them curb stomping an admiral or two to demonstrate that, but this works too.

Some are under the impression that the Fishman Island arc isn't close to being done. Hody's band of misfits seem as if they'll be beyond pushovers for our heroes. There's likely a bigger baddie out there who has yet to reveal themself (My bets are on Aladdin showing up again, or Tom's brother who was introduced and vanished)

My hope is that after Fishman Island, the Straw Hats end up somewhere near Mariejoa. Even though that's probably going to be towards the end of the series, I'd love to see them tear up all those elitist jerks right where it hurts.

Finally had a chance to read the newest issue. LOVE IT.
And um... did it sound during Chopper's explanation of his abilities like HIGHLIGHT to view: he'd mastered his monster form? |

It seemed to me that he only needs the one rumble ball for it now. Right, but he also couldn't control it before. If he's going into it willingly and with what he called himself, I'm excited at the notion of 'smart hulk', so to speak. |
