Not sure on the magazine, sorry. Believe the images for the exclusives are new though, seem to be the final versions as opposed to previous mockups.

Whoa, he's actually an evil Prime for once! I do believe those are Con symbols on Prime. He and Megs look sweet; always have had a thing for these types of repaints.

Well golly, TakaraTomy actually made a black Optimus redeco that's a Decepticon! Both him and Megatron really look great!

Comparison of previous mockup photos to the actual toy/new publicity photos.

Definitely an improvement in my opinion, and glad to see Optimus as a Decepticon (as much as I hate how a lot of users on another board always refer to a black Optimus as Nemesis Prime/Scourge, it's nice to see one actually be one). I think these two look great.

Apparently I'm the only one talking about these but Megatron reminds me a lot of his new form in the IDW comics, which is very cool!

Would have been kinda interesting to see a heroic "White Megatron" to counter Black Convoy. Still, that Megs is pretty nice looking.

ZacWilliam, yes White Megatron would take some creative decking to look different enough...

Probably wouldn't matter too much to TakaraTomy, considering their United Cybertronian Megatron is a very dark gray and not very light gray like Hasbro's.

That Megatron looks sexy. I've never said that about a toy before, but that's what it does!

I'm kinda not interested in the Black Prime now, before I liked him becuase he looked like pre-earth mode of the SDCC version, which I have. Now he's just the standard all black which is boring in comparison.

I think the teal highlights and red windows are much more exciting looking than the very dark version we saw before (as everything was all kind of the same level - the dark teal and the black). Though he did look like a Cybertron version of Universe Nemesis Prime. I prefer the stark contrast of the teal and red against the black.

I have to say I feel the same way. As cool as it would have been to get a pre-Earth SDCC Nemesis Prime...That color scheme just looks so bland on this mold.

So adding the teal and red and contrasting those and the silver against pure black really does make for a more visually interesting color scheme. Even if it's just more of the same Black Convoy/Convoy Black Vers. concept.

Ah teal, such an evil color..apparently.
I wonder who decided that and why. I know the the first toy/character to us it was Black Lio Convoy.

Megatron reminds me of the animated Shadow Blade version.

Red too, but only as a highlight.

Even the original lucky draw Black Lio Convoy used gold instead of teal, it was the TRU exclusive one that used teal first.

I think it was Car Robots Black Convoy that really solidified it (since it wasn't used on the Black reissue Convoy, Black Fire Convoy, or Black Big Convoy).

But it's used on plenty of the heroic Black Convoys/Optimus too (Henkei, Animated, Masterpiece).

Well that just saved me a couple of hundred bucks, I was all over the mock ups, but those new pics don't do it for me,
I was particularly excited for the megs mock up, I hadn't opened my United WFC Megs because of it, I may have to re-think that policy now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-blitz.gif)

Oh well At least I can better justify getting a Stepper since these two are an easy pass.

So... Black on Black isn't as dark as Black on Blue? Oooookay....

Not when it's complimented with a nice bright silver, bright teal, and vibrant red. The original mockup was just kind of ho-hum dark repaint. This has some pop to it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
