Behold!

http://www.botcon.com/BotCon2011/bc11schedule.cfm

I think I actually envy the out-of-towners staying in hotels. On Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, it looks like I'll have to drive home and come back to get to everything (20-30 minutes each way, given traffic).

I think I understand. Although I don't envy them enough to pay all that extra hotel money (when I do have the option of going to my own home each night), there's something to be said for having a place to crash on-site mid-day. It's harder to just leave and come back if you have to go all the way home to do so.

Still, I can't complain. I'm getting by a lot cheaper than most folks.

Man that schedule is HOT!

Awesome about the script readings, and the fact that they're getting people from Transformers Prime to do a script reading too! I wonder who will be there?

I'm confused by all the different package pick up listings. If that for the boxsets, or what? I'm attending the Wednesday customizing class, does that mean the box sets will be up for those attending?

Where's MSTF?

They didn't have it last year, looks like it's not coming back.

You should be able to pick it up Wednesday night.

Where's MSTF?

They don't do it every year. Although I do note sadly that they seem to pick the Pasadena BotCons not to do it at, I can certainly understand that it's a struggle to keep fresh after doing it so often.

Well, we've written an MSTF, so I hope that was just an omission.

How does one get in on that? Writing one, not attending.

Pfft, easy. If I didn't have that quality nailed, my web comic would update more than once a week.

No space in the schedule for MSTF this year on the days the panel room is reserved for, which was the situation last year. There's a buttload of stuff going on, and, well, priorities.

Honestly, I'd almost rather it WAS due to you guys needing a break (more the point of my comment I think you're referencing re: "freshness"), especially since "too much going on" was the excuse made the last time it was in Pasadena. However legitimate that excuse is. We're kinda getting left out.

.... nnnno, we did one in Pasadena, 2009. It was 2010 in Florida that the schedule didn't have room.

There was? I just missed it? (I wasn't at BotCon 2010 at all, so it's not about my being confused about which convention) If so, then I simply extend my apologies. I don't know how that happened, though....

(to be clear, I wasn't making any accusations that anyone was purposely avoiding Pasadena. Just pointing out what I thought was an unfortunate coincidence.)

I'm not going this year, so it doesn't affect me directly. But I'm still kinda bummed by this.

I'll be honest, the MST3K is a goofy fan-thing, yes, but its also been one of the most fun events at any of the Botcons I've been to. It's one of the more grassroots, fan based, fan-run feeling convention bits, yet still something non hardcore fans can really enjoy. It was EASILY the most fun panel for my wife when she came. She's not a big TF fan, but she really laughed and enjoyed the MST as much as I did.

Frankly MST3K IS a Botcon priority to me. It's #2 right behind the Hasbro preview panels for "must attend"

Even though I won't be there either way, I'm really very sorry to hear about it taking a backseat.

I can pretty definitively say that this is not true. The first part, I mean.
