And Megatron wastes no time in showing why he's in charge. Spears Starscream in mid-air, snags him by the tail fins, and drags him off to an unpleasant fate all within 5 minutes of coming back from the dead. He's gonna have to really pull out all the stops in the next play to beat Animated Megatron for the most brutal post-resurrection minion beatdown though.

The character animation in this episode, particularly on Starscream, was excellent.

The fight with Breakdown was short, but damn if that solar device explosion wasn't badass.
By the way, stealing giant lens to melt ice? That's some G1 material right there. -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah, telescopes of that size use mirrors, not lenses. At least, according to my Super Scientist Roommate.

I really liked this episode, Megatron and Starscream are great, the Autobots are great.

Oh dear. Starscream's not gonna last much longer as Con methinks. Megs was pretty brutal.
Solid episode this week. Good to have Megs back in action. -------------------- |

A tracking device built into the stolen lens is a ridiculous plot contrivance. So is the giant lens, for that matter. The whole storyline of Megatron possessing Bumblebee was way underutilized. Megatron could have sabotaged the Autobot base something awful. Instead, he crushed a thing that Ratchet needed.
Yeah. Not a great conclusion to a not great storyline. But Megatron's back. Maybe something interesting will happen now. Please? -------------------- I have signatures disabled because they suck.

Man, this series has really become quite awesome hasn't it? The Cons are absolutely fantastic! Breakdown is the only one I don't absolutely love, but I have a feeling I'll get there.
Megatron is absolutely horrifying, he gives me chills!! Sorry Animated Megs, I think you've now been bumped to 2nd place. -------------------- |

"Prime. You spot any Decepticons wearing Hula skirts lately?"
"No, Special Agent Fowler. Why?" How does this show get so much better as soon as Agent Fowler turns up? When Prime became exasperated with him he even displayed some personality other than Epic Hero. Fowler makes EVERYTHING better. Also enjoyed Ratchet pretending to care about Raf's family. Megatron could have sabotaged the Autobot base something awful. Useless and pointless. He had little time to act and get his body back before Ratchet found out how to get him out of Bee's mind or the Nemesis left the current position or anything. It was getting his body back now or waiting for the season finale where a little girl would stick her key in him. -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah I loved the episode. I know if I was Megatron I would have gotten my own body back as soon as possible, especially with the way that Bumblebee was making him change his actions (Raf pointing out that Megatron didn't hurt Raf because BB was able to control him enough for Megatron just to place him where Raf couldn't get down).
Things don't look good for Starscream (which was hinted at in our Steve Blum interview). Can't wait for next week, and welcome back Megatron! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif) Randy -------------------- ![]() |

So, because I'm a physics dork, I tried to calculate the speed Prime would need to get to the Decepticon ship. Hard to figure out how high it was, but i've got a few numbers:
-to get 100 meters vertical (~330 ft), he would need to be going ~200mph off a 30 degree incline or ~140mph off a 45 degree incline. I wasn't paying attention to exactly how steep the cliff face was. That's only like 3 times his height though, so it had to have been much more than that -to get 500 meters vertical (~1640 ft or ~0.3 mi), he would need to be going ~440mph off a 30 degree incline or ~310mph off a 45 degree incline. Seems more likely. So it's not impossible (which is the whole reason I worked it out, since I had read comments on TFW with people going "oh, Prime made an impossible leap" and I wondered if it was true). </Physics Geekery] This post has been edited by Daytonus: May 7 2011, 11:50 PM -------------------- |

Jeez, even Raf doesn't know how he understands Bumblebee. Yeah, a little disappointed we didn't get a little insight on that. Also enjoyed Ratchet pretending to care about Raf's family. That was him pretending to care? I'd hate to see him indifferent. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) And I said "Bumbleebee, I needed that!" a second before Ratchet did, I like that catchphrase. I hope Megatron isn't too harsh on Starscream, has he seen anything Starscream's done to deserve punishment? He got the flash of him holding the Dark Energon, but could he hear him? Unfortunately I had to delete it already from my DVR so I can't check myself. But it looks like next week he'll become a Guinea Pig-o-tron. -------------------- |
